I love the window pane hanging from your pergola! Such a nice addition to the garden!

I'm so inspired by your Clematis climbing on the old ladder. On Saturday, as we wandered through the 3 French Hens Market, I was admiring old ladders. I suddenly remembered that we have a very, very old wooden extension ladder in the garage that came with our house. Now I think we should cut it into segments and use them for climbing plants! Your garden ladder is my inspiration, Jann! The Jupiter's Beard is not one that am familiar with. I will have to try it. It seems like your growing zone may be similar to mine, here in CT- 6a/6b. Your pictures of the garden gats (June 10 blog) and pictures of your garden shed are great inspiration. I love the style of your shed- right up my alley! I can sometimes pick up some tidbits that help me with my gardens. I too have mostly perennials and I love the ever changing of the garden. I have three mock orange trees in my yard (here when I moved in 21 years ago) and they are the highlight of my Spring when they bloom. They are in full bloom right now and smell heavenly! My hubby remembered how wonderful his mother's mock orange smelled when he was growing up, so he planted one a few years ago. It has no smell at all, he was so disappointed. I have wondered if there was a wild variety that was fragrant and the cultivated ones lacks any fragrance.
