Playing with Green and Dreaming of Spring

Hello my friends,
March has arrived and although we got covered in snow again, spring is growing near!

This has been the coldest and wettest winter we have had in years.  My soul is yearning for spring, but I will not complain.  We certainly need the moisture!

Sweet Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home has once again brought together a group of bloggers for a
Sharin' O' The Green blog hop.

If you are coming from Angelina's at Petite Haus I am sure that you have been inspired!

I'm so excited to be joining!  About 12 years ago I gave away all of my St. Patty's décor.  But it's easy to add touches of green here and there throughout your home to add a festive touch.

A stack of old green vintage books elevates anything under a cloche, is you ask me!

Displaying a simple collection, such as floral frogs in a jadite bowl draws attention.  These are one of my favorite collections!

But today, we will focus on my early spring table.  With Easter being late this year, I didn't want to pull the bunnies out quite yet.

SO,
I decided to play with green and dream of spring!

It's really a simple tablescape using some of my jadite collection.

The salad plates consists of eggs 1-4.  I bought them at Pier 1 a couple years ago.  I think they are ever so sweet!

The teacups are not all alike.  I would enjoy having something sweet on these egg plates and sipping tea.  Guess who forgot to make some tea?  That would be me!  :)

For a change I tucked spring themed napkins into flower pot holders, found at a thrift shop and laid them in a large jadite bowl.
The ceramic birdie is perfect for corralling extra spoons.

I recently found the little table at Home Goods.  It was marked $30. It had two large cracks on the top.  They lowered it to $18.  Don't be afraid to ask for a discount on damaged goods.

More green books elevate shakers found at a thrift shop for $4.

For the centerpiece I placed my three cast iron basket door stops on the table and added a pecking grouse.

Now this is what you would think to be the end of the post.

But, no!

The 'Luck of the Irish' was with me yesterday and I won a spring planter on Instagram from Progropartners75.

I couldn't believe it when Brooke messaged me!  I love it, but never dreamed I would win!!

I love all of the spring flowers, and the metal container is so darling!

All I did was tuck in a couple of mushrooms gifted to me from a dear friend, Joanne. They add a touch of whimsy.

I laid some moss and a stamp decoupaged egg I made a couple years ago at the base, and called it good!

As much as I love my cast iron basket door stops, this yells spring to me!!

Whether you are buried in snow, or enjoying blossoms.  I hope you take some time to play with green.

Spring will be here soon!!

Now hop over to visit Linda at Itsy Bits and Pieces to see what fun green things she has to share!
