I love a bit of blue and pink in the garden.
I especially love perennials. Even though they only bloom for a little while. They bring such joy and it is always fun to see what blooms next.
I try to always have continual bloom.
Thought I would share a few of my blue and pink bloomers with you.
Dutch Iris and Carnations (Pinks)
My Blues:
Delphinium and Scabiosa
Jacobs Ladder
Spiderwort (just starting to bloom)
Batchelor Buttons
My Pinks:

Penstemon
Peony

Sweet Williams
Just noticed that grass sneaking through the fence from the neighbors yard. Gotta get it!

Hope that these brought a bit of sunshine into your world today.

Oh you have some of my favorites and one I've never heard of before! I've never seen poker primrose. Several of the others are kind of past their prime here now. But I love pincushion flower and I just planted Jupiter's Beard. I love how it peeks out between my roses. You must have a lovely garden!
I love blue and pink flowers too!! Yours are beautiful!!
Hi Jann - Thanks for commenting on my blog. Your flowers are beautiful. The hot pink flowers in my garden are Rose Campion. You can't really tell from the pics, but I have them EVERYWHERE in my yard. I love them! I hope you get your pool next year - we put in ours about 7 years ago and we absolutely love it. Makes it feel like we are always on vacation in the summer.
Hi Jann,
Your flowers are lovely...Thank you for the suggestions about plant material for our Zone 5. I will have to check them out, like the sound of the silver lace!!
When it comes to texture and colour, I think quilting and gardening are the same. I select flowers and plant material the same way I would select fabric and patterns for quilting!
Doing both keeps me out of trouble, however sometimes....
Have a great weekend!
All the Best,
Christine
Hi,
Thank you for visiting and following my blog. I haven't even posted my garden pics yet. I love your pics, the peonies remind me of my grandmother. I have always wanted to get some. Foxglove is another favorite, but where I planted it two years in a row in my front perennial garden it has never taken off. Pretty shady there and heavy soil. I tried amending the soil and planting it in the sunniest part of the garden bed, but no luck. I'll have to try in back, full sun there! Anyhow, beautiful pictures. You are a wonderful gardener. Thanks for sharing. Now I feel like making a quilt of all your flowers. If only I didn't have six baskets (four quarts each) of strawberries to make jam with and freeze. I picked them yesterday. Owwwww, sore today! Well, I better get going on it! Thanks again for following my blog. I hope to visit with you again soon!
Julie
