20ll was a year full of fun and surprises.
As I look back I realize that every moment is precious and how we need to savor them and have no regrets!
Here’s a bit of what I did.
I went snowshoeing with friends
I made a Valentine quilt
I organized my walk in closet
I finished my ‘Chocolate Bunnies’ quilt and made an Easter garland
I attended a fun quilt retreat
I found lots of vintage items
I made a dozen or more paper birdhouses
I visited Glacier National Park
We built our patio and pergola (had help with this)
Bought new outdoor furniture and painted patio chairs (inspired by Courtney from French Country Cottage)
Added some color to an iron gate
Visited Star Mill (More times than I can count)
Went on a garden tour
Grew a liar of Larkspur
Went ‘Pickin’ with friends
Saw the cutest small home I ever did see!
Went on a road trip with hubby and saw a flock of flamingos
Made stepping stones from pieces of broken glass
Spent hours in the garden
Celebrated the birth of our Nation
Learned how to make a collage using my own photos
Saw my youngest son marry a beautiful girl, Samantha
Made a quilt for the newlyweds
Talked hubby into ‘finally’ hanging my burlap curtains
Grew giant sunflowers
Took a ‘Sunday Drive’
Bought my blue cupboard for my front porch (notice two more collages) I had to keep practicing so that I wouldn’t forget how. lol!
Brought spooks out for Halloween
partied with the grandies
And dressed Hilde in her finest
Had a blessed Thanksgiving with my family
Even managed to do a little cooking
Met up with one of my blogging friends, Vicki/Jake
Made shades for my kitchen windows. With the help of my SIL, Laurie
Deep cleaned my laundry room
Spent time in the mountains with friends
Won a lot of give aways. Thanks to all of you who gave my fun items. Love them all!
Had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends
Last of all, hung my window decor
It seems the older I get the faster the days fly by. As I reflect upon ‘2011’ I thank God for my many blessings, which include the health and strength I have to do the things that I enjoy doing. This old girl isn’t going to slow down any too soon, God willing.
Looking forward to another year of fun and adventure!
Going to be a grandma again!
