For the copycat link party I showed my ‘candy chandy’ that I decorated for my living room.
From there you got a glimpse of my ‘candy tree’.
Now I would like to show you more. Warning, I think I gain 10 pounds every time I enter this room.
This tree is the delight of children young and old. It’s decorated with gingerbread houses and men, peppermint balls, cupcakes, star cookies, and gumdrops,
This garland hangs above the French doors leading into this land of sweets.
In the entryway there is a little something to tempt your palette
Gingerbread and gumdrop houses. Two of which light up. A few little treats and my sweet little girl I made years ago.
Now we enter ‘Candyland’.
Thank goodness, there are a few non fattening decorations
A special place for special décor. I will post more about my Nativities later.
These two cuties were given to me by my oldest daughter and my cousin.
What’s a candy tree without some real candy? For the tree skirt, I bought a premade red felt one and stitched the words “Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice.” If you ask me, that’s what Christmas is made of!
Only problem is, some of the candy I save from year to year. I don’t think 5 year old hard tack will kill ya, do you? lol!
I have so much fun decorating with candy every Christmas.
Can’t imagine why I can never lose weight. hee-hee!
Oh well, in the famous words of Miss Scarlet, “I’ll worry about that tomorrow”
Here’s wishing you a very Merry and SWEET Christmas!
Jann
