Hi folks, today I am taking a break from my basement reveal. I will be back tomorrow with my farmhouse kitchen.
Let me show you what got me so excited that I just had to share it with you.
Harvesting. . .Lavender! All tied up with vintage ribbon it’s beauty is beyond words!
This morning as I went out to water my pots I couldn’t help but notice my gorgeous Lavender. Last year I had three plants. Two of them were buried by Larkspur and alas did not survive.
I played with it a little outdoors. . .
Then it came inside.
My new found clock represents harvest TIME.
I even found that I had a few more lavender items.
A thrifted tea pot. . .
S&P shakers won at Bunco. . .
A little teacup given to me by my friend, Joyce. . .
And a single lavender colored plate.
I placed my little stems of faux lavender in my bottle holder.
I looked in the pantry and found some Lemon herbal tea. Lavender and lemon, YUM!
Growing up as a teen my bedroom was decorated all in lavender.
It’s no wonder I love it so!

Okay, time for me to 'fess up that I'm SO JEALOUS! LOL That lavender is just gorgeous, and I can't seem to grow it very well in our Zone 3. I absolutely love it and try anew each year. Your staging is just gorgeous! So enjoyed the photos - and I can imagine that lovely fragrance. I use lavender essential oil and lavender buds in my vegan soaps. Maybe it's the difference between the climate of Utah and the climate of Wisconsin, huh. Anyway, so glad you're successful with lavender. It just makes me happy that someone is! :-)
Lavender enchants the soul. I once harvested lavender at a farm and learned to make lavender wands. Pure Bliss...
I do have a sister who is allergic to lavender...what a shame for her.
I love lavender. It's my favorite and I wish I could smell it in your pictures ~ intriguing~!

My lavender has just burst open with its beautiful colour and the bees are thoroughly enjoying the flowers. It is my favourite and so versatile. Once dried it can remind you of summer through the winter. Chel x

I love the heavenly smell of lavender, one of my favorite flowers. Isn't it so much fun harvesting them? My college dorm room was decorated in lavender, too! :D I love this post, and I'm going to blog about lavender next week. I'm going to *attempt* to make lavender ironing water (linen water). Wish me luck!

That's a very nice harvest Jann. Before I left Vancouver, Chloe and I picked some of our lavender and made some lavender wands to freshen the house all thru the year, (directions on my blog if you're interested) And, that reminds me, I have to email C to pick the rest of the blossoms before they bloom out. :)
