The last couple of days It has been gorgeous weather so I have been planting my annuals and poufing under the pergola.
I adore old blue bottles.
The kids are coming over for a bbq tomorrow so I wanted to create a welcoming arrangement.
We will be enjoying our new fire pit. Last year we only got to use it once and then all outdoor fires were banned because there was a terrible fire just up the road from us.
I have had this large vintage crate for a few years. Last year I planted carrots in it and set it at the edge of the patio.
The feathery greens were so pretty and in the end we ate small carrots.
I decided to give it a white wash of my homemade chalk paint.
I then filled it with my old blue bottles.
It’s so large that It took every bottle I had except for 4 small ones. Tucked inside are Crabapple and Silver Dollar blossoms.

No planting of annuals in the ground here until Memorial Day ( we just had a freeze warning last night and there is one for tonight as well. Back to chilly weather for awhile here : )
Oh what pretty blossoms in those blue bottles. Did you know you can buy new blue bottles right now from Mason jar company. I ordered a dozen from amazon.com and they look just like the old ones!
And you can put up things in them just like the clear ones.
