I can’t think of a better place to have an outdoor kitchen than close to the herb garden.
Rustic as it may be, this stove is a real beauty!
Rhubarb and Chives flourish.
Impatiens and Begonias are planted in this shady cooking area.
Feathery Fennel gives you a whiff of black licorice.
Lemon Balm and Marjoram bury a vintage plow.
Unruly mint is contained in galvanized buckets.
Directly across from the kitchen is the vegetable garden. While the tomatoes, peppers, beets, cucumbers, and squash are still small, the lettuce and cabbage have gotten very large.
Although it’s not by the stove, every outdoor kitchen needs a sink. Where else are you going to corral those dirty dishes?
Next we’ll be touring our ‘outdoor bath’.
Till then, I’ll be in the kitchen, cookin!
hugs,
Jann

Good Monday Morning Jann. I love your garden pictures. Love love love that you repurposed the old stove for a potting bench and love the planted old sink. So much fun to re love these old vintage pieces into the garden. Yours is just awesome.

Boy if that isn't cute! You really have "pots" on your stove (garden bench) !! Love the wash sink- too cute! Sometimes I wish I could plant my real one with something and walk away! Your cabbage are coming along really well and so is your herb garden. What a fun post!

What a beautiful garden...I feel so inspired. Our tomato plants are still sitting in the pots I bought them in! But we do have fresh herbs growing that I absolutely LOVE! Oh and how I swoon over your potting bench.

Oh my Jann, you have such a creative eye! I love the plates sitting upright in the dirt in your sink planter - so fun! What a great idea using an old wood burning stove for a potting bench - lov'n it! Your yard would be so much fun to browse through. Do you open your yard to local garden tour?
