Feeling Blessed. . .No Regrets!

Hello my dear friends,
I got to come home from the hospital yesterday and I wanted to check in and give you an update.

But first of all, I MUST thank you for your sweetest comments.  They really helped carry me through my surgery.
The Dr. told us that he didn't know if I would even be able to talk when I came to, and that I may have to relearn a lot of things.

NOT THE CASE!  Right now I am doing excellent and talking wonderful.  Well, as good as
I was before.  :)

I am so thankful that I decided to have brain tumor surgery.  Even after the Dr. at the University Hospital said he wouldn't recommend I do anything.  The Lord is in charge!!

I have always been a thankful person and truly do feel blessed.  Now, that doesn't mean that I haven't had problems in my life.  Still, I look for the good, not the bad!

Two years ago my family built my "Hilltop Cottage" she shed up on top of our back garden hill.
I have loved it and had a twang in my heart to see it featured in a magazine.  That didn't happen, but thankfully an Instagram site,
Urban Renewal featured it on their online magazine.
"feeling blessed".

Many of my blog friends have been featured in magazines.  Always a secret desire of my heart.  That didn't happen, but it was my fault that I missed that opportunity.  A sweet gal from Country Sampler wanted to feature my bottle brush Christmas porch a few years ago.  Because I took so many photos I had not saved the originals.  Live and learn from my own mistakes.  I save them now!

Gardening is another one of my loves.  I have been asked to be in a "Secret Garden Tour" this June.  Hopefully I will still be able to do that!

My face is quite swollen and black
and blue right now.  I look like I am ready for Halloween.
The kids are all coming on Thursday and we should have around 25 of us for Thanksgiving.  Hubby is smoking a turkey, but they are all doing the rest.  I have wonderful children and I love them dearly!

No Regrets!

Life is about the future, not dwelling on the past.
I will enjoy it to the fullest!!

hugs, and love you all!!

Best news ever! Black and blue will go away but your great blessings are here to stay. It sounds as though your holiday will be just wonderful, surrounded by those you love (and they're doing the heavy lifting too! How good is that?) And so many other blessings.

But most of all, a successful surgery and a good outcome. I'll join you happily in giving thanks for that one!

Big hugs!

So good to hear from you --- a real blessing for this Thanksgiving week. You have been at the top of my cancer prayer list for a couple of weeks now (and will continue). I kept thinking about my daughter's recovery from glioblastoma surgery of a month in the hospital learning how to swallow, talk, even breathe again. Each day I would think that Jann should be coming out of the induced coma, and living life again or they should be taking the feeding tube out, etc. etc. And here you are at home already -- a real miracle. Enjoy Thanksgiving, and let that family of yours pamper you from now on. Sally

Jann-being in and out of visiting blogs I didn't know you were having brain surgery. My husband had a non-malignant tumor removed many years ago. He lost hearing in one side and has some partial nerve damage on one side of his face...but blessed that it wasn't worth.
My dil's mother had the same thing about a year ago and she (age 70) recovered beautifully and you would never know today that she had the surgery at al. Luckily, hers was not malignant either.
God bless you- I know you are safe in His hands and did the right thing.
I pray you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. xo Diana
