Magical, Musical Christmas

Hello dear friends,

What is it about music that feels our heart with joy and lifts our spirits?

I absolutely love singing along with the radio at the top of my lungs!  And believe me, it's no treat.  I was not blessed with any type of musical ability!  I look at a sheet of music and it just says, "pretty" to me.  I have never learned how to read music.

Still, nothing stirs my soul quite like beautiful music!

I'm so thankful to Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home for organizing this wonderful hop.  So many talented ladies will show you how they bring music into their homes at Christmas time.

If this is your first time visiting, I am so happy to have you!!  If you are hopping over from Itsy Bits and Pieces then I know that you have been well fed!!

I don't have a lot of musical things, but enough that I could add touches to our living room mantle.

When people gather music pulls them together.  I rolled a few sheets of vintage music I bought at a thrift shop and tied them with ribbons of gold.

The two little birds inside the ornament are a reminder that more is always merrier!!

I made the music sheet garland a few years ago.  I draped it along the front edge of the mantle.

I never pass up a cute music book at a thrift shop.  I especially love the colors on this one!

I made the paper garland a few years ago.

The Star of Bethlehem was a gift from a dear friend last year.

I also have a small collection of musical themed vintage cuties.

This little girl may not be a caroler, but she certainly looks like she has a song in her heart to me!  I found her at a thrift.  My friends weren't that impressed, but I love her!!

Wishing you all a magical, musical Christmas!

Next up is Carol from Art and Sand.  She is so talented and will inspire you immensely!!

Be sure and visit all of the other ladies for some musical inspiration.

Hi Jann, I am catching up on commenting and just want to say how much I love your vintage and thrifty heart! You can create almost any kind of theme, given the challenge and cache of finds in your treasure chest! That music box with tree is a beauty, and I happen to like the little girl with star head. You tiered tray of deer and bottle brush trees earlier in the week also was a star - so much detail, so many little cuties! I'm so happy you're enjoying the season, and am privileged to know you in the circle of blogging friendships.
Merry Christmas, Jann, to you and your family!

Jann, I wasn't blessed with any musical talent, including singing. My mother had a beautiful voice. I used to love to hear her sing in church and just around our home. Music makes for a happy heart. We have a beautiful piano that my husband played up until a few years ago. I wish he would begin playing again. Thanks for sharing. Your little thrifty girl makes me smile. I love her smile!
Merry Christmas!

Jann it doesn't matter if you feel like you can't sing or weren't blessed with music talents, the point is that you enjoy the GIFT of music which is for everyone! By the way, it is never too late to learn, I gave piano lessons to 72 year old man who had never played before and he picked up fast and learned to play a few songs quickly!

I love your pretty vignettes with the sheet music treasures. The gold ribbon is so pretty on the sheet music. The caroling book is a great find!

Your little kitschy carolers are wonderful and I love the harp player!

I am so blessed that you were able to join us on this hop. Have yourself a "merry musical" Christmas!
