Gather Together. . .

Hello my friends,

in America November is the month that we GATHER together with family and friends and thank the good Lord for all of our many blessings.

Thanksgiving has always held a special place in my heart!

I love the story of the First Thanksgiving!  Click to read more.

Anything that promotes love and gratitude can not be bad!!

I want to give Amber from Follow the Yellow Brick Home a big shout out for organizing this for us.  She is a very busy and talented gal!!  Love calling her my friend!

If this is your first visit, or you are hopping over from
Debbees Buzz ; welcome!!
Her blog is so fun!

When we gather together, we love using our very best.  The turkey plates were a find at Home Goods a few years ago.  I love them!  The aqua goblets are Pioneer Woman.  Do you see the touches of aqua in the plates?

I chose the gold silverware because I like how they echoed the shade of the mini wreaths tied to the back of the chairs.

I've had this sweet pioneer girl for years.  I bought her at a flea market.  Isn't her hand painted face so darling?

I stacked the extra plates at the end of the runner and topped them with some art work by my nephews wife, Julie.  She writes and draws children's books.  She does such a good job!

The centerpiece is my tiered tray.  I always love filling it with knick knacks.  Most came from thrift stores.  I never pass up a small.

Honeycomb turkey and pilgrim candles.  Also scored at a thrift shop.

This figurine is from Avon.  It's ever so sweet!!

I (unintentionally) have a large S&P shaker collection. : )
The vintage ones are my favorites.

Simple table for a blessed Thanksgiving.

Here I am standing on a chair looking down.  Kind of a fun pic.

Hope you have a delicious Thanksgiving!

Jann, I love those aqua glasses with your turkey plates. I would never have thought the two together and it works beautifully! Always enjoy seeing your thrift treasures. Especially like the turkey shaker --- something I've looked in vain for over many years. The turkey hunt continues LOL! And, what a precious piece of artwork from you niece-in-law. I'd bee hinting for one to represent each season or holiday so I could rotate them in frames. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Jann, your Thanksgiving decorating is so pretty. I love you plates. The turkey any colors are just beautiful. The little Pilgrim woman is adorable and welcomes you right in. Your niece-in-law has a great talent. That illustration is really wonderful. I know how it seems we start collecting salt and peppers unintentionally. But there are such great ones to be found, haha. I love that turkey and all of your smalls. I am hoping that you and your family enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving.

It wouldn't be quite right if I didn't visit you at this time of year and have a peek at your gorgeous decorating for Thanksgiving, Jann. How wonderful it would be to sit at your table, drink in all the pretties whilst celebrating and being thankful. Oh, and I would love to chat with you whilst I enjoy a plump turkey. =) As ever, lovely Jann, everything sings happiness!

Your table is set so pretty, and I can certainly appreciate your comment about accidental collections as you have with the salt & peppers. ;) It's all part of our thankful journey.....being able to gather, set the table, and share the meal with family, and also sharing virtually with all our friends who love and appreciate the beauty. I loved seeing your Thanksgiving decor, Jann. Your nephew's wife is really talented. Love her drawing that you have displayed. My mom has the pilgrim candles that you found at a thrift store. She's had them for year and years. In fact, I can't remember a Thanksgiving that they haven't been either on her table or as part of her decor.

I always love how beautifully you do your home and your holidays. We share the same turkey dishes -- we've had ours since I was probably nine! I love them. If I eat elsewhere, I take them with me (if the hostess allows!) They're perfect with those Pioneer goblets!

True life changing story of COPD.
My father was a smoker for forty years. He started when he was a teenager in high school in the early 1950s, and continued to smoke about a pack a day until he quit in 1995. For years he thought "You know? 1 smoked for forty years, and I got away with it !" No. No he didn't. In 2014, nineteen years after he had quit smoking, he started noticing that he was having trouble with wheezing and feeling like he was out of breath a lot. He was diagnosed with early stage COPD. For the first year, he was able to get by with simply using rescue inhalers once in a while, but by late 2015 he needed supplemental oxygen. At first, he could get by on the lowest tank setting of 1 liter per minute, but as time went on he needed an Oxygen concentrator at home and he needed more and more oxygen. Last year (2020) he was up to the oxygen concentrator's highest setting of 5 liters per minute, even while just sitting down. By this time I had moved in with him to take care of him. Sometimes he would be gasping for air, and he would ask me "Son, is the machine on? I just can't get enough air" his condition worsened, our hearts melted every moment as we watched him gasp for breath,we were sure he would die any moment, by the time I started reading YouTube comments,I stumbled upon a comment that said there is an traditional herbal doctor called Dr Itua Herbal Center man that cures this ailment and other human diseases,I quickly contacted him and ordered the herbs with my father's money because he wouldn't need it anymore cos he would die any moment,I received the herbs in two days and from that moment he used the herbs, he began to feel better and better, few weeks later, he was completely cured, I thank you for reading this story about my father's experience with COPD. If you know someone who is a smoker, and you love them, please encourage them to quit. We love Daddy.all thanks to Dr Itua.
if you have this ailment or have other ailments like..Alzheimer's,Cancer,Parkinson,Hiv,Herpes,Hpv,Kidney disease,Diabetes,Hepatitis,, email Dr Itua Herbal Center on
drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com also chatted with him on whatsapp number: +2348149277967. and he will send you herbs to cure you completely.
