HeI have a couple of sweet new bird items to share, simply because I needed a little bit of dirt.
Last week I wanted to pot a sunflower that I had recently bought.
Alas, only to find that I was out of potting soil.
Knowing that my friend, Shellie had some I stopped by to buy a little. Needless to say, she wouldn’t take any money.
When I got there she said, “Let’s go to Home Goods”.
A store just recently opened about 20 min. from our home.
Well, the truth of the matter is, It would’ve been GOOD if I had stayed HOME from HOME GOODS!
I spent a bundle. You know, things you just gotta have! Here’s a couple of items that fell under that category.
Don’t know how, but they just simply flew into my cart.
Well, after all they are birds.
You know being the bird lover that I am, I surely wasn’t going to pass this up. $39.99 for a lamp, that’s a great price.
Besides, it’s birds and toile!
It even has a cute couple inside.
Look at that finial, love it!
And then there was this burlap canvas picture.
Only $14.99, and it looked so cute with this. . .

Put it all together, and I got this.
See, so sometimes it is good to get a little bit of dirt.

I may or may not have told you this already, Mrs. Olson, but our little girls' nickname is "bird" and so I am partial to all things bird-related. :) I probably should be decorating with birds myself! :) thanks for sharing your lovely finds!
That is the greatest thought...good to stay out of Homegoods. I LOVE that store and I do purposely stay away. I would have fought you for the lamp! That is just adorable. Really, it is perfect isn't it...the color, the shade, the finial...see, I really would have had to fight you...!!

Love all your bird treasures! I was just at Home Goods yesterday- bought a cute little duck. I spotted him the last time I was there and almost bought him. When I saw him yesterday-I figured I had to take him home.
