Orange Ya Glad?

Last week I stopped by Planted Earth.  This is one of my favorite, “Not sure what you might find” kind of shops.

Glory be, look what I happened to see!

IMG_3517

I was carrying this sweet watering can around when the owner told me, “My husband wanted to take the orange spout off because it was broken, and I wouldn’t let him.”

Then he walked out and said, “Yeah, I did, I thought that the can was unique, but that the broken spout needed to be removed.”

For sure this was a “Woman are from Venus, Men are from Mars” kind of thing.

I think that’s how the title of the book goes.

I told him that the orange spout was what I LOVED about it.

What do you think?  Orange ya glad his wife saved the day?

I put it out on my front porch with my Halloween décor.  LOVE it!  I’ll be sharing my porch later.

This morning I decided to fill it with two kinds of Black Eyed’s from my Fall garden.

Here you’ll get a glimpse of my Halloween porch décor.

Today you will find me at home. lol‘

YIKES!  Look at that rat! Yikes is my Y word I’m sharing  with teacher Jenny at Alpha-Thursday.  Go visit her for more fun Y words.  You’re never too old for a little more schoolin!

I would like to introduce you to my pet rat, “Peggy”.  Named after my friend who was appalled at the fact that I was even considering buying him.  Even if he was $1.99 on clearance at Pottery Barn.

If you look closely, you can see that she even has hairs sticking out on her tail.

Too funny!  I love Peggy!!!

Hope you find a treasure or two this week!

Hi Jann,

Love the orange spout on your very unique watering can...I have never seen one that shape before. Love the flowers in it. That pumpkin with the spiders on it is so sweet. Your grandchildren must have a ball when they come to visit!
I love your blog too!

All the Best,
Christine

Love the Black Eye's in the watering can, Peggy on the other hand is still sick and wrong to me. I just can't tolerate rodents, I'm sorry, even if she is my namesake. She does look rather cute on your porch though. Lets just hope she doesn't attract real friends. Then you will be saying yikes for sure.

Well, at least it's not an owl...I DO NOT like owls...so that rat of yours isn't so bad...a little creepy, but it is time for Halloween, right? Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and following and signing up for my giveaway AND posting it in your sidebar AND leaving such sweet comments. Gosh, you are a keeper! I will just HAVE to follow you too so we can stay in touch. Have a wonderful week.

"Peggy" is absolutely adorable! I thought she was for real... cute touch in your fall decor. The black-eyed susans look beautiful in your new watering can... it looks like a little teapot "with a handle and a spout." A great find and a perfect accent to display your autumn blooms.I love your wooden witch's hat...nice accent! Thanks for sharing your fall vignette with us and for your endearing comment on my autumn tablescape. I love apple crisp, one of my favorite desserts. Have a great weekend!Hugs~Poppy

Just another example of why men would still be sitting around a campfire, scratching their armpits and grunting if it weren't for women!

You have a great eye! I never would have seen that potential in the watering can. But with the flowers in it, it's gorgeous!

That watering can is fantabulous! Thank goodness the orange spout was left intact. Your flowers in it were the perfect touch.

I think Peggy is great too! Love how your front porch looks...I would have fought you for that can!!

Hi! What a fun and happy link to the letter "Y".

I would have been drawn to the orange, too. And then my husband would have removed it and replaced it with a 'non-broken' one...

And then we would have had a big fight...

And then he'd be sleeping with the rats...

Oh.

Okay.

Was that a weird segue here?

Cute, cute post.

I loved visiting you this week.
