When I visited the Thrifty Groove blog yesterday I saw that she was having a link party on Saturday for her monthly thrifty tablescapes. Because it is all in Pink I will also be sharing with Pink Saturday
I thought it would be fun to do a ‘Tea for Three’. Ha-ha, that’s because I only have 3 pink teacups.
I was too lazy to undecorate the kitchen table so I decided to set it up on my new (old) chippy table. In case you missed it, here’s a pic.
I didn’t have a cute tablecloth so I threw on my ruffled throw from IKEA. LOVE it!
I tied the corners up with pink ribbon. Perfect for my ‘pink tea’!
Everything except the album is a thrift or yard sale find. The album I bought years ago from Avon. The teapots sit atop it. Both were found at D.I. for 1 and 2 dollars.
This tablescape is all about roses. We even have a book of poems by Emily Dickinson for conversation. Oops, there I go fibbing again, not a thrift find. The book was a birthday gift 6 or 7 yrs. ago. Love that pop of yellow!
Sweet little tea accessories. Again, I only have one of each. I love the heart tea bag holder. Notice the cut swirly pattern on the cup? The rose plates I just bought at D.I. for 75 cents ea.
This $2.00 yard sale bowl would be fun filled with some yummy muffins. Oh and yes, we must have a hat!
No muffins? How about a donut or piece of cake?
A few sweets for the sweet! Look at that tiny sugar container, sa-weeeeeet! Could I use the word sweet any more times in a sentence? Ha-ha, just did!
More sugar, sugar. I know, I know, enough already. Sorry this pic is a bit blurry. I cropped a bigger pic and this was in the background.
And let’s not forget the cream. I also just bought this for $.75
I felt like a little girl setting up a pretend tea party. But, oh what fun I had!
Hope you enjoy my ‘Tea for Three’!
Hugs,
Jann

Yours is the first blog I visited for pink Sat. I love your post and all the beautiful photos. I had that tea set; the cups and saucers, at my wedding 30 years ago. I think I might still have them in a cupboard. I'm off to check!

Wow, I love how you put that throw! Very cute arrangement.
Ditto -- so cute! Love the white throw on the table. Quite clever. :-)
I do have a question: What is D.I.? It sounds as though perhaps I should pay them a visit if we have them somewhere around us haha.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Pink, posh and pretty!!! I love them Jann
Thank you for dropping by. HPS! I love how your pink tea time turned out.
I just read your post about the table, and I had to laugh. Sounds alot like the conversations I have with my husband every time I find what I think is a treasure and he thinks is junk! I love the table just the way it is, and all dressed up for tea!
Your tea for three is precious. I love all your pink dishes and teacups! I like how you used a throw for a tablecloth! hugs, Linda

How fun, Jann! I have those same pink stems & that same pink depression glass cups & candy dish!! They were my Mom's & I cherish them deeply. It brings back lots of fond memories of birthday parties, growing up.

Hi, I'm visiting from Rose Chintz Cottage and I think your tea for three is delightful. So many pretty pink things and you dressed up a plain table to become feminine and inviting.
Jann I love your tea setting, the tablecloth is gorgeous. I had to look twice at the little pic on Knick of Time as I thought it was mine. You have lots of china and glass on your tea table that are like mine. I have blogged this week also about my pink glass. Your chippy table is so nice and I love how you have tied the corners of the cloth with pink ribbon.

Hi Jann,
Your tea table is so pretty; love all your pink! Your cups are a match to the bowl that I have my pudding in. I like the 'tablecloth' you used tied with pink ribbon. Very sweet; and thank you for sharing this with Tea Time. Have a lovely day.
