My new thrift find is helping me to reach higher and higher.
For a small tuppence of $3 I’m soaring high up into the sky.
My picnic hampers have all been yard sale or thrift store finds. What started out as one has now become four.
Stacked in a corner in the entry they make a fun fall vignette. I tucked some faux leaves in the bottle holder of the top hamper. A pretty embroidered sunflower table topper hangs out of the basket. It’s extra special because it was stitched by my sweet Aunt Viola.
Love that sunshine streaming through the window on our entry door.
I stitched the sunflower wall hanging and the pillow. The thrift find chair was given a coat of homemade chalk paint.
Our gorgeous fall weather has brought about the Harvest Moon.
Makes me want to go on a Fall picnic, how about you?
hugs,
Jann

Love your stack of picnic hampers Jann! The sunflower pillow is so cute !
Hi Jann,
Love all your stacked baskets. They are all so awesome. Love that yellow chair and of course that lovely chippy door/window with the wreath. It all looks so great for fall. Have a great week end.
Kris
Oh I love baskets too! Love your sunflower stitchery. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
What a great collection of different shapes and sizes. Don't think I have seen any like them, looks wonderful. I have a set of metal ones stacked, great storage. Love how you added a touch of fall!
Hi Jann, as soon as I saw that basket on the header, I guessed immediately what you were doing with it. It's a 100% perfectly stacked fall entrance! Love your pillow, especially, and it goes so well with your chair and other framed stitchworks. Very inviting!

I like baskets all year 'round, but during the fall, they really add a nice texture to rooms. Your display provides a nice cheery welcome to your home, Jann!
I see you have been fooling around with fall quite successfully. Both the colors and the textures work well with the other elements. Love the sunflower piece.
Great job of collecting the cute stack of picnic baskets...I love your vignette at your front door. What a wonderful welcome to all entering your home.

Hi Jann ... I love the interest you have created in your entry. That yellow chair is wonderful and ties in and anchors your colors. Your architectural pieces make a good statement too. Thanks for sharing.

... and thanks, you just gave me an idea. I have a red piece, much like the tall white piece that you have behind the chair. I am totally painting mine white and leaning it somewhere. : )
I LOVE your fall vignette! Yes it does make me want to run out and enjoy a fall picnic. Love the pretty tablecloth peeking out from the picnic basket too. The weather here today is perfect for a picnic!
Thank you for sharing Jann and enjoy this beautiful day!
XO Barbara
LOVE LOVE LOVE the look! I have some picnic baskets I should do that with. Love the stitched sunflowers. Perfect vignette!
I love your baskets and your fall decorating. I have to comment on your Aunt Viola. Viola was my mom's first name as she was named for her mother. My mom was called by her middle name. When my son had a daughter, they named her Eloise Viola to honor my mom. Mom died in February before EV was was born in September. I had told Mom the baby's name and know she is smiling on her namesake.
What a cute corner display, so cheery and inviting!
Yep, knew the fall decor would be coming! You must be so organized with all the seasonal and holiday decorating you do! Wish I were!!
Jann that is some cool stackability!! I really do like the way it looks next to the yellow chair. Great color combo!! XOXO Love Fran.
Hi Love the vignette. Reminds me of those old wheat dishes that come out of a Duz dish soap box - my Gram had them. Do you have a tutorial on the homemade milk paint?
Hope that you enjoyed the weekend!
