Saturday afternoon I threw a Bridal Shower for my soon to be DIL.
I have birds here and there throughout my home.
Last week I started pulling them out.
It all started with this:
The invitation.
Me and my birdbrain ideas. This baby cost me $1.71 each to mail just because I stuck in that twig.
I wanted the entry to say, “Welcome to our Nest” (Click on picture to enlarge)

Kitchen
My sweet friend, Peggy just gave me the bird topped tea pot and creamer for my birthday. I love it!
Today I showed you the inside décor. Tomorrow I will show you the outside and the Bridal Shower.
Here’s a peek at the nest banner I am working on to hang from my mantel.
Didn’t quite get it finished for the party.
A little hint: My give away will be similar, but not the same.
I’ll keep you posted. Gotta get er done!
Bye for now, and hope you enjoyed visiting my N.E.S.T.
I will be linking up with these ladies this week:
The House in the Roses for Show off your Cottage Monday
Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphis Monday
Little Red House for Mosiac Monday

Wow! Truly lovely and creative at every turn! What a lucky DIL you have! She will never forget her shower thats for sure!
Love your ideas. I know it was a nice party for your son-to-be DIL. I really like the turquoise blue cake plate/stand with the fluted edges that you had in one of your photos. Yummy!
What wonderful creative ideas! Love the banner! Can't wait to see the rest! I know one future DIL is a very lucky gal!!
How cute and creative! I love the invitation. And, I love bird decor also!

Hi Jann,
Everything looks so sweet and fresh!
What a beautiful beginning to their future married life.
Two birds in a new nest, making it their own...
Congratulations to you & yours!
All the Best,
Christine
I love the nest banner it is so darling, and vintage looking. I knew you could use that teapot and creamer as soon as I spotted it at your favorite store or I guess I should say at one of your favorite stores. Honestly my friend, I think you have turned into one of those bird ladies that you see in the movies. You know the ones that carry around the bird seed and feed the birds. You are so cute! Your future DIL is so lucky to have you for a mother-in-law. I am so lucky to have you for my friend. Love you! I'm sure the shower was quite the event and enjoyed by all.
Just adorable! I'll bet your DIL loved it. Love everything but especially the white wire bird cage!
Jann,
Thanks for your visit to my place.I can see why you wanted to see my hand made nests, as you are a lover of birds and nests too. =)
(if you scroll down on my blog, on the sidebar just click nests, and bird nests, you can see some of the nests I have made)
I really enjoy making nests and putting them in unique containers.

Oh what an inspiring theme for a bridal shower.. I bet it was a lot of fun and your DIL loved it! So creatively you put together all your bird vignettes and I loved that birdie postcard garland. The white wire birdcage and all your cloches are so adorably displayed. My favorite is the wire cloche and the little terrarium with moss inside... Great post! Have a lovely evening!~Poppy
