Christmas is in the Bag!

Now after reading the title of this post you might find yourself thinking, “Wow,  this woman is amazing”.  She is all ready for Christmas.

If this is the case, I’m here to inform you that you would be wrong!  Yes, the home is all decorated.  But I still have a bit of shopping, have not addressed Christmas cards.  Actually, need to buy some.  I usually send handmade ones, but not happening this year. And I will not be baking for another week.

I mean, literally; that Christmas is in the bag!   What a cute bag it is!!

It is my fabulous give away win.  I won it on  Debra’s blog, Common Ground.  Carol from The Polka Dot Closet is the creative woman who made it.  I hope you will hop over and visit both of these wonderful ladies.  I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

A couple of things I love about this bag.  The #7 has special meaning for me. It’s  the  number in our family, my birthday month, and one of my lucky #’s.  It just so happens that my middle name is Marie.  Not spelled the same, but so close.

Look at the cute details.  The ruffles, the bow, what’s not to love?

Now back to ‘Christmas in the bag’ thing.  The minute I won this I knew it would be great to hold my projects that I am working on.

Let’s take a peek inside:

First thing I pulled out is a redwork pillow I started in Nov.  It should be done by now.  I haven’t hardly picked it up in the last three weeks.

Look what I had forgotten about until the other day.  Cute days of the week Christmas dishtowels.  I made these last year.  I just need to add a scallop polka-dot border and rick rack trim.

Each one is simple but sweet.

The bag also became home to some fun gifts I received at our “Dog Kennel Girls” quilt guild luncheon.

I love my bag and thank Debra and Carol so much.  I just hope that my projects get completed and no longer have to stay in the bag.

As cute as the bag is, I’d like to put them out for display.  Besides, I’m sure there will  be more unfinished projects that will find their way into ‘the bag’!

Have a wonderful Christmas season.

Here’s hoping that you are able to get it in the bag!
