Plain and Simple.

There are more than one linky party going on today so I will be posting twice.  Wow, can you believe that?  Two posts in one day!

Judy from DIY By Design is featuring banisters.

Because I have so much other stuff going on in my family room kitchen area I keep my banister plain and simple.  Hard to believe for this gal, right? hee-hee!

I have wintery frosted swags hanging down from each of the posts.

I love  the icy look of these swags.  I actually bought them two years ago at Hobby Lobby.  They go so well with my new tree.

At the bottom I have one of my quilts I made.  Featuring, of course, my red, turquoise, and green color trio.

I hand blanket stitched the snowmen and snowflakes.  They run all the way up the brown strip.

On the last post I have a bell garland where I hang Christmas cards.  LOOK, no cards yet.  Hurry up and get those cards in the mail so my garland can look festive.

Another reason I like it simple is because I love these frames with pictures of my grandies hanging above the stairs.  too much would detract from them.  Notice the bottom frame on the right and left have the same picture.  Still waiting on a couple of pics.  This was the picture that came in the frame.  She is now my adopted grandchild. lol!  Pretty cute little thing, I’ll claim her.

A couple of baubles hang from the sconce.

I know that there are going to be some FABULOUS banisters out there.  Can’t wait to see!

Hope you take time to check out some of the other links. (Party will start later tonight)

Hi Jann,
The swags look so pretty on your banister! I haven't done mine yet-I'm running behind and missing out on the blog parties! I'd better get moving.
Have a great week.

Love this look on the banister - wish I'd done that, I'd pinned something like it on Pinterest, but then found the garland I bought after Christmas last year (on sale) and went with that look. Thanks for sharing the beauty with us!
