I’m going NUTS!

I’m like a squirrel gathering nuts for the winter

If you know me very well then you know that I have always been a little bit corny.

Well, this time of year It’s a little more obvious than usual. . . not only am I (a)corny gal, I’m really a little bit nuts!

I can’t seem to get enough of those cute things that fall from the oak trees.  I’m stashing them everywhere!

I think it could possibly be contagious because I even have hubby helping me.  We were both grabbing handfuls of acorns lying on the ground when we went for a walk the other evening.

It’s like we think we’re going to wake up to snow tomorrow and have nothing to eat.  lol!

Real or faux. . .I just love them!

How about you, are you going a little bit nuts?  The holidays can do that to ya.

But if you are (a)corny gal like me you probably love every minute of it!

Jann

The acorns around here don't get that big, however the hickory nuts not only get big, but also are very hard. So being out in my courtyard when they are falling is a problem.

I am a lover of acorns too. However I learned the hard way to avoid acorns on the porch. A few years ago we had gathered a few baskets of them for the fall decor. The wild creatures thought it was a Thanksgiving buffet and destroyed all of it. Quite the mess to clean up. I love the displays of all your nuts. I am a big fan of the overly large ones.

I love all your acorns! I just bought a couple of floral stems at the thrift store this week with acorns on them. Unfortunately, the real acorns in our area have disappeared! Wildlife officials say it could cause huge problems for the wildlife in our area :(

Cute title, you nutty lady!

Funny, I shared one pic of my handcrafted clay acorns (bought from Etsy, I didn't make) in my post yesterday, so we're on the same page!

Have a blessed weekend. Hugs.

Jann, I like your collection of acorns.I brought some real ones in once, pained them many colors. Thank goodness I had them under glass, a week later worms came out of them....gross. Creeped me out, so I do not bring them in the house any more. :):) Hope you have a fabulous weekend, xoxo,Susie

I don't know what it is about cute little acorns...they are so hard to resist. I think there is a fairy garden quality to them.

I absolutely LOVE acorns (even the squash) and pinecones and leaves this time of year! Don't see many acorns to gather though in my area!

I'm with you on this one, Jann. I love acorns, too. I seem to be gathering quite a little collection of them. Everyday when I go out for a walk, I try to resist picking them off the ground when I see them.
