Snippets of Spring. . .

This morning as I was tinkering around the house and doing my morning deeds.

You know, things like making the bed, vacuuming, and such.

I couldn't help but notice how much joy the little snippets of Spring I have throughout our home bring me.

thrift find chick egg cups holding faux chocolate eggs.

Spring is my favorite season and until I can enjoy the Spring garden
these signs of spring will suffice.

A Spring vignette in a lantern.

I recently found a set of four season plates by Currier and Ives at a thrift shop.  This one is Spring.

I made the wire cloche last summer.

love using books in my vignettes!

I made this Spring pillow years ago.  Still makes me smile!

I love mixing my thrift finds into my décor.

just found this little ducky this week.

Many of these are just simple things that I have collected over the years.

I'm a true believer that if you surround yourself with the things, (and people) you love you will be happy!

Happy Spring!
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

Que Deus te dê um esplendoroso dia, com raios luminosos que te possam clarear os olhos para ver o quanto és importante. Deus Pai te fez assim: mulher importante e figura do próprio amor. Ele te moldou como uma rosa: forte e justa como os espinhos, linda e suave como as pétalas. (fonte:aqui)

FELIZ DIA INTERNACIONAL DAS MULHERES!
Um doce abraço, Marie.

Sweet springtime! Our weather has finally turned for the better here in our part of NC. Cold, yes, but not for long. I love those little chicky egg holders. They remind me of my 3 white leghorns (Aunt Bee, Skippy, and Daphne) who are about to turn one year old; they were yellow when they were babies and turned snow white after several weeks. Your spring decorations are absolutely adorable.

Jann, your Spring decor is all so beautiful! Those chick egg-holders are adorable and I really like the way you put one of your four season's plates in the lantern. How smart and you can use the other plates in the set as the seasons change! I love baskets, suitcases and boxes and the way you stacked your collection is wonderful! Have a beautiful weekend!

You've put me in the mood to FINALLY take down all the "Let it Snow' decorations and bring in some spring - even if we still have a foot of snow on the ground

Very cheerful décor! Love the wire cloche....maybe you will do a tutorial on how to make one?! I am just starting to bring Spring out inside my home because it surely is not outside here....we still have about 2 feet of snow in the yard and 4-5' snow banks!

So much spring loveliness in your home, Jann! I'm going to copy one of your ideas that I love...quilts stacked on the chair. I have a cute chair, but not crazy about the seat...this is a great way for me to cover it up. You just might be seeing it on my blog some day soon.

Up until yesterday I wasn't really in the mood for spring...so cold. But yesterday the warmer weather and are sun are out which is definitely getting me in the mood. Your many snippets of spring are helping too...what pretty, as always, vignettes. Love each and ever one of them!

lynn said...

such pretty spring vignettes, jann! love your stitchings!

I love all the quilty / hand stitched items around your home and CHOCOLATE eggs in the chickies... GENIUS! Here is a tip to bring spring a little closer... find a favorite CONCENTRATED fragrance spray that reminds you of spring and spray the inside of your vacuum (I have a Dyson so I spray inside the canister). As I vacuum, the scent heats up and makes the job much more fun, plus it reminds me to thank God for the blessing of a vacuum and a roof over my head (because I truly loath floors - so it helps my attitude). -Have a blessed day! -Heather
