Hello my friends. Although I no longer decorate for St. Patty's Day I certainly love having touches of green throughout my home.
And I am crazy in love with that 'vintage green' color!
I always get excited when I spy a piece at a thrift store or estate sale.
Like this beauty that I recently found.
I love both depression glass and jadite. My collection isn't large, but I adore every single piece!
I got the salt shaker at an antique moving sale on Sat. They gave it to me because it didn't have a mate. I was more than happy to take it off their hands. he-he!
These two sweet dessert cups were found while vacationing in Canada years ago. The dealer at the swap meet gave them to me for half price because he was closing up.
I bought this sweet pitcher from my friends, Aunt Bunny for $5. She said it was Vaseline glass. I had never heard of that before. It does remind me of the old Vaseline bottles.
Now here is some of my favorite 'vintage green'!
My sil, Laurie found the jadite plates for me in NC.
I had to dish out $35 for the Bauer batter bowl at an estate sale. A little more than I wanted to pay, but I knew I would be mad later if I didn't buy it.
The Jadite measuring cups were only $4. One is missing and one has a small chip. After researching them I found a set on ebay for $100.
I'll take my damaged $4 set any day.
I scored this swirl bowl for $18 on my way to St. George last Spring. It was stained inside, but I was able to clean it right up.
The teacup and saucers have the prettiest little floral pattern. I found the coffee cup and saucer at a thrift for $10. Couldn't pass it up even if I don't drink coffee.
I bought this set from Saturday finds etsy.
I found this flour shaker while vacationing in Napa, CA.
I love finding treasures while on vacation. Every time I look at them they take me back to a fun memory!
I love vintage green handled kitchen utensils like this pastry blender.
And how cute is this little oil lamp?
Who wouldn't love a 'vintage green' giant frog? lol!
I feel 'lucky' to have the small collection that I do have.
Gathered together they make a pretty green statement!
I love this vintage green so much that I tried to mimic it when we finished our basement.
It brings fun into the room!
Who knows? Maybe I'll have the
luck of the Irish and find more
'vintage green'.
Wishing you a 'vintage green' March!
hugs,
Jann
I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

What a beautiful collection of green depression glass and Jadite. I have a small collection as well. I should do a post about it some day soon! I seldom see it around the way I used to in the 90's. Too many of us collectors, I guess.
I love your collection and that shade of green!
Hi Jann,
I think you already have the luck of the Irish with all your green treasures. Such a great collection. Some great deals on the Jadite too. Have a great week my friend.
Kris
You know I was like a bee to honey when I saw green on your leading photo, Jann! I love all of your green - whether it's Depression glass, jadeite or kitchen utensils. Truly a favorite of mine, and you've got a great collection going!
Rita
I have some pieces of vintage green glass but no Jadeite. I do have lots of green pottery. Such a pretty collection! That's about all I put out for St Pat's day also.
hugs,
Linda
Oh wow. You did find some great pieces for next to nothing! 4.00 for the measuring cups!!Wow.
Jadeite and green depression glass are my favorites, too. I don't buy as much as I use to because the prices get so high. Plus, I don't have room for even one more item in my house!!
No pinching you with all the green you have. I think I'd hang onto the coffee cup all day long, like an accessory!
Hi dear Jan !! Que bonito juego de losa en verde !! Me gusta mucho ese estilo vintage ..
Espero que tengas un bendecido comienzo de semana

What a nice collection you have! I love how it has evolved over time.
Lori
What beautiful pieces! I love old utensils with green handles. One of my favorites is a long-handled ladle with green trimmed with tiny ivory stripes.
Hi dear Jann!
So beautiful to your collection!
This green recalled my childhood. My mother owned a glass bottle vintage green. I wanted so much to play with this bottle ... because it was in doll form :)
Hugs,
Nanda.
Well, I am green with envy.
I have no jadeite, but have always wanted some. The only time I ever saw a jadeite display the pieces were way too expensive plus I would have had to carry them back on an airplane.
I am going to copy your idea and use my green frog to hold pencils in the kitchen.
Love this post. There's nothing quite like vintage green! I've been lucky with finding green depression glass, but I've never been able to score jadeite; all of my jadeite pieces are reproductions. And don't forget about that awesome green lantern that you have with the red glass! Thanks for sharing your greens :). --Fran
I say that you truly got some fantastic deals on your green treasures...I have a small jadeite collection and love it...You find the best things at the greatest prices!!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful collections. My mother had Jadeite dishes when I was young. xo Diana
What a great little collection of vintage green! I have just a couple of pieces that my hubby inherited from family and really love using them! Heading on vacay next week, hoping to pick up a few special pieces of 'something'!! Blessings, Cindy
Hi Jann,
You do have luck of the Irish with all of these pretty pieces! I am going to copy your idea for St. Patrick's Day and display some of my depression glass and my one and only jadite.
Warm Hugs,
Jemma
So many lovely green items.
Have a wonderful week.
Denise
Your green collection is very pretty, Jann. Such lovely shades of green.
Julia
I'm a huge green collector too! You've inspired me to get my collection together to share! :)
I love your green collection Jann! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
I just LOVE your 'vintage green' collection, Jann! You have inspired me to gather together some of my own green favorites, for a little vintage green display to welcome Spring! Heartfelt thanks! ♡
I too appreciate many of these greens and while I don't have any of what [in your first pics] looks like Vaseline Glass I am always drawn to it. And the "Alice" pattern of the c/s is something I must have a few...I have maybe a 4 place setting group I can't really set a table yet with the 'Alice' .
I am a nut about pretty vintage dishes but it really helps if one can NOT be a collector snob..meaning that sometimes I have a mix of the old and slightly valued mixed in with the great modern day reproductions that are around now. The value makes no difference to me I just enjoy them...as You do I am sure!!
We have fun with this don't we!!!
I am GREEN with envy now! I just love all your greens.....a wonderful collection and what makes it so nice is all the different places the pieces came from. I have to focus on the green this Spring when I am out thrifting. Can't say that I see a lot of it around here.
Jann, your green collection is so Springy and refreshing. Love it! Jo
I must say I'm GREEN with envy! I love green glass too!
Love all your green vintage dishes!! My youngest daughter collects the green pieces too. She had a few pink pieces, but gave them to her cousin.
~Cindy
I love the jadite also, but I don't own a single piece. It is about the only green I really care for.
Love, love, love your beautiful shades of green...you have a wonderful collection!
Cute stuff! Love the green vintage!
Love the green. I have several pieces. The 2 dessert cups are depression glass, 1930s, Called Patrician after a Roman Nobleman. The common name is spoke because there is a spoke like from a wheel in the center of the plates and so on. I have a few green pieces but all of the set in amber except for the expensive juice glasses.
Oh J'ann me to, a big fan of Greens. I use to decorate around the main colour being green and I too had my fair share of Jadite glass ware and then sold it all off in my shop years ago. Your collection is amazing and beautiful at the same time. Loving that column you painted to stand out rather then to blend in with the other white walls, this was a very creative direction to move in its a great colour and look.
Well my dear, I have been wanting to add some colour into my home again and all that you have inspired pulls at me in this colour direction.
Thank you for all the green that could possibly inspire anyone in a green direction.
A beautiful weekend heading your direction.
Xx

Jann, what a fun collection you have. I especially love the teacups. You are really good at spotting a bargain and finding great little treasures.
So refreshing to see the way you celebrate St. Patrick's Day! If I see one more little oreo cookie decorated like a leprechaun.....!!!
But seriously, I have some green Depression glassware that belonged to my MIL. So simple, yet so lovely. I saw a Martha Stewart magazine article that said vaseline glassware will glow in the dark with a black light. You can bring your piece out for Halloween too!
Wow - you have an abundance of beautiful green pieces - I love them all! Thanks for sharing them at the Vintage Inspiration Party!
Beautiful green things!!! I think my favorite is that floral frog. You've used it in an unusual way and I just love it!
Such a pretty collection, Jann! Hugs, Cecilia
Oh my, love your collection of vintage greens...beautiful inspiration for spring! I especially love green jadite, such a pretty color :) Have a great weekend, Jann! hugs, Poppy
