Spring Porch

I have been waiting for the tulips in my birdbath to bloom before I shared my Spring porch.

They were suppose to be red so imagine my surprise when I saw these beauties!

The purple crocuses are spent, but there is still pretty color.

I created this collage one morning with my phone to share on Instagram.

Since then I've added a few pussy willow branches to one of the filing cabinet drawers.

My enamel pot of sedums has come back to life so I placed it at the base.

I planted both urns at the top of the steps with Pansies and added a little piece of metal garden edging.

I planted a red primrose in a rustic bucket and hung it on my old garden gate.

To add whimsy I placed a couple of rusty springs under one of my metal cloches.
The sweet turquoise oil lamp was a recent thrift find.
I love it!

The little bunny planter was also found at our local thrift.  I filled it with a yellow Viola.
I bought the funeral basket at an estate sale a few years ago.  I have a small collection.
They remind me of my sweet mother and how she used similar ones every year to decorate for Memorial day.

The door in the corner is over 100 years old.  It came off of our youngest daughters home.  I kept it simple and hung a faux Forsythia wreath.

Love this chippy plant stand that I bought a couple years ago from my friend, Dolly's Aunt Bunny.

Nothing says 'Spring' to me more than pink and yellow Primroses in an aqua pot.

Happy Spring from my front porch to yours!

hugs,
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely ladies:

Spring is springing out all over on your pretty porch. My you have some gorgeous thrift shop finds! Love the oil burner and the bunny is so sweet. Your filing cabinet looks a treat. All those Spring blooms are lovely. If one was to step on your porch, one would not want to leave!

What a fun surprise! At least the tulips were partly red :-) I am anxious to see mine blooming but it will be a little while longer. Isn't Spring a wonderful time! I should consider putting bulbs in my urns in the fall. What a fun treat for springtime!

Jann, I know how it feels to think you are getting one color of flower and it turns out to be another. In my case the color was all wrong but I love the color of your tulips. I especially love that old door. I have always wanted one. Everything looks beautiful!

I hurried on over to see anything that looks like spring! You've surrounded yourself with it! Your tulip photos are so pretty. That has happened to us too - we think we planted a bunch of red ones and then here they come in spring - PINK! I'm starting to see little shoots here and there and it's a great feeling after such a long, hard winter.

Soooo many pretty details, Jann!! Not red, but beautiful, those tulips you got!! How funny! I have a small, old fence in our landscaping--plain, until NOW!! What a clever idea to hang a pail on it and add a plant! WHEN I post it (ha!) I hope to remember to give creative credit where credit is due, and if I don't, please be sure to remind me!! :) ~Zuni

Jann, I love your spring porch. When I saw your tulips it reminded me of the beautiful Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I visited the Festival while at the SNAP conference a few years ago. sb
