Garden Party

Hello my friends, I have been looking forward to the opening of this fabulous 'Garden Party'

Carol and I are so excited to be joining the gals from
Thoughts of Home for this fun monthly link party.

Spring is my favorite season, and there's no place I'd
rather be than in the garden!

WELCOME

Pull up a seat, (well, maybe not this one); and stay a while!

This one might be a little better.  And look at that ray of sunshine.  Love it!

If you've visited my garden before then you know that there is always a lot of red going on.  This year I am having fun working with a new color scheme.  Our oldest grandson is getting married in our garden in June.  His sweet bride has chosen aqua and coral for their wedding colors.

The cushions for our faux wicker furniture were five years old and not looking the best.  I had them recovered in fabrics that would tie in with the wedding.

I picked up this wicker stool at a thrift shop and sprayed it coral.  At first I thought it was a bit bright.  But the pop of color is growing on me.

Saturday I attended the "Three Dotters' vintage sale and came home with this planter.  The plants were the perfect color!

It's still early here in UT, so not a ton of color in the beds.  However, my trailing plants are really putting on a show.

This candy tuft is so huge it hangs clear down to the lawn.  Before it was in full bloom it looked like a heart.

My Weeping Crabapple is loaded with gorgeous pink blooms.

Lenton Rose are one of the first things to bloom in my garden.  I have a pretty green one as well, but try as I might; I could not get a decent photo.  They have a tendency to hang down.

Love the forget me not type blooms of Brunnera.

Another early bloomer and favorite - Pasque flower.

My 6 year old grandson, Jack wanted to know why I had a cage over my Delphinium.  "Grandma just does silly things like that in her garden"

Sweet little Violets.  Just realizing that I have a thing for purple.  :)

He also was quite amused that I had plants in my boots.

I've been planting some of my containers, knowing that I can bring them indoors if we have a freeze.  Very likely,  because we're not truly safe until after Mother's Day.

I saw this one at our local grocers and thought the colors would tie in very nicely.

Now you've visited my garden, I can't wait to see yours!

hugs,
Jann

Your garden is absolutely gorgeous - you are miles ahead of me, nothing is blooming here yet. I will definitely find time to link up to the garden party when I am on a normal computer and not my iPad!! What fun, can't wait to see what everyone is doing! Right now, though....it's time to mow the lawn for the first time this season!

Your beautiful garden is the perfect place for a wedding! You must pick the perfect plants to withstand the cold winters that you have. We have to pick the perfect plants to withstand the 100+ temps in the summer. I'm amazed that your garden already looks so pretty though this early in the season. I can't wait to watch how this progresses. By the way, I love the new color scheme. Our patio furniture is 4 years old and I can't wait to recover the cushions.
Happy gardening friend. ;)

Good Morning Jann,
Your gardens are so colorful and glorious and I enjoy all of the details you have added to each space. I can certainly see why a young man and his bride would want to get married here!
The color scheme is dreamy.
I remember Momma bring in her plants too, but then Summer hits and there is no place on earth like a Summer in the Rockies!
Thank you for the sweet party too:)

Jann, your garden is already looking colorful and lush with pretty blooms. I like the cascading candy tuff and wish I could add that to my urns. Not sure it would thrive in our shady garden, but would like to try it. Your garden is going to be a lovely spot for a wedding. I love the idea of a garden wedding, especially if it's in a family garden. The new cushions are lovely. Can you share the names of the patterns for the cushions?
Love the new little side table. That was a good find! The pop of color is perfect!
Thanks for hosting this fun party. I'm off to wander the gardens.

Sweet Jann, your garden is overflowing with beauty! What a joy to have such sweet blossoms.

Here in the mountains we are finally seeing little buds coming forth on the trees and the grass is beginning to turn a lovely bright green. It won't be much longer before we start to see flowers.

Have a wonderful week! Hugs!

Hi Jann, Good Morning. Oh I simply love your beautiful garden and blooms. The aqua and coral for the wedding is a pretty pop of color and all your decor details are so inspiring. You have so many great ideas that make your garden so interesting. Love the cage over the blooms. I may need to do that here to keep my neighbor's cat from walking on some of my delicate flowers. haha Sweet cat, but likes to hang out in my garden!!
I have to go back and view all your pretty photos again. Just love your garden. Thank you for hosting and inspiring.
Blessings, xo

Jann everything looks wonderful. How exciting to have a wedding take place at your home. By June all hour annuals will look so full and lush and it will be perfect! We have frosts into early June so Ihave to go ahead and plant and just cover up to protect. Love how the candy tuft looks draping over the side of the stones. I'm going to plant some boots this year too! The blossoms of the crabapple are fantastic! I'm just amazed at the things you have flowering already! I won't see blooms like this until June!

Well, I'm having the biggest sigh ever because this is so beautiful. I'm so glad I don't have to pick just one image to say is a favorite because it would be quite impossible!

Thanks for coming by the Marmelade Gypsy and for following -- and I did the same over here. I look forward to much more loveliness!
