Creating Christmas-Vignettes

Hello and welcome to our first day of our
 Creating Christmas link party

Carol will start us off over at Art and Sand with the theme of Christmas vignettes.

The party will remain open until the 24th so you can continue to share your wonderful vignettes right up until Christmas.

I absolutely love creating vignettes all over the house. I refer to it as, "making a scene".  Some are very simple, while others are a little on the busy side.

I love my tree made from vintage frogs in this vignette!

There's a story behind this vignette on our fireplace hearth.

I saw the suitcase quite a while ago at a thrift shop.  It was $10 and I passed it up simply because I felt I just did not need it.  Months later I went back, there it was and it was now $5.  I took it as a sign that it needed to come home with me.  lol!

A little angelic scene as you enter into our bedroom.

I've added birdcages and nests to our tree this year.  I carried the theme over into our entertainment center.

When I shared this vignette on Instagram I said that I had been 'hittin the bottle lately'.  Yup, it happens this time of year. :)
I love my seltzer bottles and didn't want to pack them away for Christmas.  So, I hit them with a bit of holiday trimmings.

I shared this in my Cozy at Christmas Home Tour , but I just love the deer and shiny brites.

I am smitten with bottle brush trees.  I created a forest on a chippy table in our living room.  I also love the pinecone elves!

I love Gurley candles and these angels are so sweet.  A bit time worn, but I adore them!  The holly was hand painted.

Every now and then you find a mouse in the house.  I don't mind when they are as cute as these!

This is what happens when you have a lot of things you love and you don't know what to do with them.  I just plopped them down and hoped it worked.  Lots to see, but it makes me happy every time I walk by it!  It consists of red transferware,  cloches, bottlebrush trees, sheep, a couple of sheep bells, vintage beads, and a gorgeous music box that lights up.

I'm ready for tea anytime with this vignette in my kitchen window.

I love Mary Engelbreit books.  They are just chock full of fun ideas and whimsy.  I had one, a friend gave me another, and I picked up the third at a thrift just last week.  They are all in pristine condition.

Here's another collection of things just thrown together.  Some of the items in the basket will make their way into craft projects.  I love the candle box almost more than the candle itself.  The sweet angel is a chalkware piece from a nativity.  Pretty much everything here was found at a thrift shop or estate sale.  All except for Santa.  I painted him years ago.  My kids names are written on his list.

Thank you for letting me share some of my vignettes with you!

I hope you will hop over to  Art and Sand and share yours.  Also, be sure and link your Christmas trees with Katie over at
Let's Add Sprinkles on Tuesday.

Have fun Creating Christmas!!

hugs,
Jann

Jann, You have so many wonderful things. I love the corner in the kitchen. I want that typewriter. LOL. I have had my eye on one at Horton's. :) The little baby shoe just touches my heart. I never see babies wearing these any more. Love your plaids best. Blessings for a fun week. xoxo, Susie
