San Antonio River Walk. . .

Hello my friends,
we are here in San Antonio enjoying beautiful 80 degree weather.

When we arrived last night, it was a warm 70 degrees, but rain was drizzling down.

A couple people at our hotel told us it was going to be like that for the next few days.  :(
Luckily for us, the weather man knew different!

We awoke to a beautiful morning, and like he predicted; the sun shone in the afternoon.  No rain to be found!

We took a delightful stroll down the river walk.

I had never been to San Antonio before.  I had no idea that the river walk was located smack dab in the middle of town.  :)

Of course, this mossy rock wall caught my attention!

As did spring blooming bulbs.

When it comes to arches, bridges, and tunnels.  The more the merrier!!

These steps were lined with Italian tiles.

I had the biggest smile on my face when walking through this gorgeous red tunnel.

As we walked along every now and then we enjoyed the sound of rushing water.

Do you see the water running down the steps?

This grey trailer was so soft and pretty.  I imagined how great it would be trailing down our rock wall.

What a wonderful day it was!  Tomorrow we are going to ride the boat along the river.  It was so busy today that after standing in line for a bit we decided that tomorrow would be much better.

I'll leave you with a couple more photos of these cute fine feathered friends.

hugs,

I didn't know you were going to be HERE in San Antonio. I haven't been down to the Riverwalk since Christmas. They hang lights from the trees. It is quite beautiful. Make sure to see the fish under the I-35 bridge on the river. They are especially fabulous at Night, when they are all lit up. I hope you enjoy your stay. There is lots to see and do.

We are going on a trip in May and it was between San Antonio & Sedona. We finally settled on Sedona. I'm glad you shared your beautiful photos so I feel like I was able to take a little trip to San Antonio too! Have a great time.

We spent just one day at the River Walk quite a few years ago & I wish we had blocked out a few days there instead. It's such a lovely place to walk around & sit & enjoy some awesome food. The boat ride is worth the wait. There's so much to see...I'm glad you're enjoying it and thanks for the memories.

Looks cool! I have never gone to Texas but have family there. My parents went there about 15 years ago and said that the riverwalk area stunk to high heaven, but looks great in your shots! So glad you sought out the beauty in each experience!

My husband and I took a trip to Texas last year at this time and spent a few days in San Antonio. It is beautiful and not like any other city I've visited. Enjoy!

For some reason, I had always pictured San Antonio as a huge city with only tall buildings. But what you show of it is enchanting. Thanks for sharing and opening my mind!

The Riverwalk downtown San Antonio holds a special place in my heart, it is such a beautiful place to visit, so many lovely little spots to walk and so much to see, and of course, the food is amazing! It is exciting to see the flowers in bloom there too! I don't remember seeing the red tiled tunnel, must be a new addition. Have you seen any bluebonnets yet? Glad you are having such a wonderful time! Hugs :)
