July has been bringing sizzling days of summer. It may be hot, but luckily I have a few flowers that still manage to put on a show. Also we have been blessed to have had a few rain storms lately.
My Hollyhocks have grown to be over 8 ft. tall and have beautiful pink and red blooms. See them soaring above the fence?
Look at these gorgeous Zinnias. I love the vibrant colors!
My rustic birds seems to be happy nestled among them. I took this pic a while ago and now there are a lot more blooms.
As I walk outside my front door I just want to say, “Hello Yellow”. My lily and Black Eyed Susan’s seem to be basking in the sun.
And look at these sunflowers that reseeded from last year. I think the birds had a little bit to do with the spreading of the seeds. Some of the heads are smaller but still kind of fun.
Talk about reseeding, just look at this Portulaca. I planted a few of them last year and this year they have come up all over. I think it must be because we had such a mild winter.
A bit of white always brings delight. Daisies, Fever Few, and Cone Flowers.
This pink Coneflower made me smile. Looks as if this little fella is reaching for a drink. who could blame him, or is it a she?
Cosmos and Monarda (Bee Balm)
My new roses are suffering a little in the heat, but the Marigold seeds I sprinkled along the rustic fence are loving it.
soon I will share my pergola with you. This is hubby and I’s favorite place to hang out. My annual pots are starting to finally fill out. Love this vintage wicker planter I bought at the ‘Star Mill’. I planted it with Ivy Geraniums and a spike.
There you have it, my July blooms. Hope you enjoyed them. I would love to see what’s blooming in your garden.
Hugs,
Jann

Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers. Mine are pretty pitiful looking right now.
Enjoy your weekend.
Such pretty blooms! I really need to brave the heat and get out to photograph what's going on in my yard!
Everything looks so beautiful! You would never believe that they are suffering from all the heat. I love your vintage wicker planter...it's beautiful!
Gorgeous flowers in your garden, Jann!
That collage of zinnias should be part of Note Card linky party!!! they'd make gorgeous cards, wouldn't they??
Have a wonderful weekend.
The flowers look great Jann. I so miss my red bee balm, a casualty of the winter. The cosmos and moss roses seem to really like it hot!
Jann, your flowers are looking wonderful. We finally got some more rain yeatserday and today. I can see it's helping already. Thank goodness. Smiles to you, xo, Susie

Your flowers are all so lovely, lush and colorful! You have created a magical place to spend time with those you love.
I hope you have a nice weekend, Jann!
Blessings,

Love seeing all your blooms Jann! Ours are still hanging in there, but not looking so good with all the heat. Yours however look great. It's obvious the love and care you put into your garden. It's obviously paid off. Can't wait to see your pergola!
Oh- Jann- LOOK at all your beautiful flowers. I just realized that I am going to be spray painting my wicker CONE hanging basket white...I love yours- xo Diana
I love ALL of your flowers but I teared up when I saw the portulaca. My grandmother always grew them. I forgot about that until I saw your post
Cosmos! The first flower that I planted with her as a child. I usually plant some and did not this year ...
You have taken me down memory lane a bit this evening :)
Your flowers are beautiful. This heat has been hard on so many gardens.
I enjoyed this post Jan! It's raining in my place over the past weeks and seeing the blooms made me smile. It brightened up my day.
Btw, your shots here are perfect. It could make it as a blog header and even a spread to a magazine.
SO lovely, Jann! Love the sunflowers, especially...just says summer to me. What a pretty backyard you have~
Shawn
p.s. THX for hosting your link party :)
Such pretty flowers! I wish I lived next door so I could look at and smell your flowers all day. Thanks for sharing your pretties.
Your flowers are beautiful Jann. Not too bad for hot weather. Mine are nearly existent. We've have been having a lot of rain but it has been so so hot.

Lovin' it all! Your flowers look pretty good for all that heat they are experiencing! Don't you love cosmos! It has such a nice airy texture and a big happy flower!
I should get some bee balm- I love the color of yours!
The hollyhocks and zinnias look so happy too! Love your lily-I have a pale l lemon yellow one called Sunday Gloves and I just discovered it has a wonderful scent!
Sunflowers and black eyed susans are old reliables!
Portulaca is such a great plant especially for dry hot places. They don't need to be babied too much!
Wow! Your flowers are all so gorgeous! That picture of the 4 zinnias would make a perfect header. Thank you so much for linking up. Have yourself a wonderful weekend!
Wow! Your yard is definitely blooming!! So colorful!
Your flowers are lovely. My black eyed susans are doing well, but the rest not so much.We had a terrible drought and then it has rained buckets every day for two weeks!
So pretty and delightful! Visiting from Pink Saturday.
Pink Slushy Magic, come and see.
New follower here.
What a riot of color!
The cosmos look so nice against the pink rocks. I do love the conebasket, too.
Your flowers are lovely! Love the little rustic birds and the waterfall over the rocks is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I am your newest follower.
I definitely enjoyed your garden! Wow, it's beauty, beauty, beauty everywhere. I love cosmos! Why didn't I plant some seeds this year?!! Seeing yours makes me want to kick myself. The good news is that in South Florida, the end of Summer is a great time to plant some things. We have to keep at our gardens year round, so there's still hope for me and the cosmos!
Liz
Love seeing all your beautiful flowers. The bee balm and zinnias are my favorites. Excessive heat warning here, and everything is drying up.
Add me to the list! I actually LOVE summer time weather! And that wicker hanging planter is just the cutest! Happy Sunday!
Hi Jann! Diane here again :) just want to say thank you for linking up. You made me happy. Have a great week!
What a lot of glorious colour! I must try to plant some portulaca again - I love those hot shades.
Your garden is looking lovely. Love all the color. Valerie
What a talented gardener you must be!
Your flowers are gorgeous!
Wow! So much still going on in your garden. I tried Cosmos this year, but I don't think they like my shady garden. Oh well! My Monardo didn't bloom either. Just one of those crazy years, I guess. But you have so much to shout about!
Mmmm...so lovely.
Very lovely posies Jann. I hope that you have a great week~
Hollyhocks, zinnias and cosmos are at the top of the list of my favorite flowers. Your garden is gorgeous. Love its nostalgic look.
It looks terrific, Jann. I love all the colour in your garden. I was just saying to my husband that our garden needed more colour along the back perennial bed. Love the cosmos as a quick shot of colour - will have to plant more next year.
Wow, those hollyhocks are gorgeous!
The flowers you have are all lovely, these I can only see at garden shows.
