Hi my friends, I am home from Oregon and so anxious to get back to visiting my blog friends. Being gone a week really makes you miss out on a lot of fun posts. Excited to see what you have all been up to.
I’m also really excited to show you all of my treasures.
In one of my posts I mentioned that I found an old green table at the “Sage Antiques” in the town of Sisters.
Here she is in all her glory. I thought it would be a fun piece for either out on the deck or under the pergola.
Look how well she matches my vintage lantern.
This next item is my favorite. This old mirror has seen better days, but I love her just the way she is! The best part is, she was half price. Yup, as if the $30 price tag wasn’t good enough, I got her for $15. Let me tell you why. . .
After leaving the town of Sisters we drove through Madras. We saw this cute Thrift Store. Don’t you love the name, Possibilities? They had a lot of vintage items, but the first thing I spied was the wooden piece that went to the mirror. It was unmarked so I asked an employee how much it was. She said $30 and then took me over to the mirror and said this is $30 also. However, today is senior day and if you’re 55 or older everything is half price. I swear I heard angels singing right then. It immediately became a day that this old gal would not complain about getting old. lol! Look at the darling gas can Joyce scored for $7.50 because yes, she is a senior also.
I also scored an old shoe stretcher and some fun kitchen items for half price.
The sifter and old beaters found a home in this vintage shopping basket in my kitchen windowsill.
I found a few fun items when we were driving the ‘Fruit Loop’. Some of the fruit stands sold antiques. I found a white hob nail pitcher. I have been wanting one for a while.
Just wanted to show you, I stuck the mirror behind my vintage bathtub and I’m thinking it looks pretty darn cute. May have to leave it there for a while.
I love this old camera and sprinkler that I got from our cute new friend, Donna. She’s the owner of Cody’s Fruit Farm. I collect old sprinklers and this bright orange one is a different shape than any of my others.
I now have three vintage cameras. Looking forward to grouping them together.
I found just a couple of items when we went over into Bingen, Washington. An orange covered book that I thought would be fun for Fall and Halloween and this old Westinghouse clock.
Love it!
We passed a ‘Barn Sale’ sign along side the freeway when we were heading for the beach. Of course my car just automatically exited. Good thing, because we all found treasures.
Old plaid tape tins, vintage turquoise stapler and staples, old mop tin, old bowl with fun graphics, and rusty thing-a-ma-jig.
Great mustard color don’t you agree?
Sweet teapot and kitchen utensils in my favorite turquoise color.
Last of all I also found this old pillar at the barn sale for $5. I thought it might work to hold a birdhouse my FIL made me last year.
He made it and then someone painted it and junked it up with rusty trinkets. Hee-hee, that would be me. What do you think, will it work? Maybe I need to paint the pillar.
There you have it, my new vintage finds. I did done good don’t you think?
Just wanted to let you know that I decided that I will draw for my give away tomorrow night (the 17th). It’s a good day. Just happens to be the day I was born. lol! I will announce the winner Weds. evening for ‘Share Your Cup’.
If you haven’t entered be sure and do so. You’ll find the link on my sidebar. Now here’s an extra bonus. If you have already entered, you can leave another comment and you’re name will go in the hat again. Best of Luck!

Jann

Awesome finds! The mirror is my favorite! It looks cute there behind the tub/plant stand! I think you did all- right!! Gosh I sold a whole bunch of hob-nail pieces many years ago that I got from my Mom. I didn't for a minute think I'd ever want it again! Now I wish I would have kept some of it! The pitcher looks so cute with the daisies! The green antique table is a great find and so is the old sprinkler!
Happy birthday. Your best vintage find is still at home. Love you
Great finds you did great. I love the mirror.

What fantastic goodies you were able to tote home...Your little green table is so charming.
Thank you for your kind comments and for sharing about your wintry redwork quilt. I am working on the same quilt...and am about 2/3 finished with the embroidery...It remains to be seen if I finish it before I turn 80!
