I’m in the Mood for L.O.V.E.!

Oh my friends, let me tell you; I’ve been chomping at the bits to start decorating for Valentines.

I want to hold off for another week so I decided to create.  Before Christmas I purchased a kit for a valentine garland for half price at Pebbles.

It was easy as 1. 2. 3.

1.  Crinkle the dictionary print flowers.

2.  Adhere one to each heart and add a button.

3.  Outline each flower with silver stickles.

After that just hang them from bakers twine with mini clothespins. Voila!

Notice my cute box?  I had to run errands today after quilt guild.  I think I was giving off some kind of vibe because every where I went I found red.  The color of LOVE.

I found the box at Hobby Lobby.  It was not in their Valentines décor, but how perfect are these trumpeting cherubs?

Then I had to drop off some donations at the D.I., a thrift store.  Why not go inside after?  I found two more red cuties.  A red glass plate for $1, and a sweet sugar bowl for 50 cents.

After I made the garland I decided that I would do something with this little chalkboard heart photo album I bought years ago.  I covered the front with paper and added a few embellishments.

I’ve only done a few pages inside so far.  A layout of our new little grandson born in July.

Some of the pages I will leave the chalkboard and write on them with colored pencil.  It’s small, but will be fun to sit out for Valentines with pics of my grandies.

How about you?  Has the L.O.V.E. bug bitten you yet?

Hi Jann!
Oh...What a fun splash of RED! I can't wait to put out some pretty Valentines. I bought a V-Day swag and it's in my suitcase ready to go up when I return home. Just look at your precious little grandson. Oh, what a reminder of God's love for each one of us!

We are still waiting for our little one to make his appearance. He is officially overdue. Mommy is ready to pop!

Have a sweet week,
Hugzzzzzzz,

L.O.V.E hasn't hit me yet, but you know how I am pretty much allergic to colour, haha!

I do ♥ your craftie projects big time!

Funny how things just show up at the right time! What a cute chalkboard album...probably the most I will do, if I am even home, is hang my Valentine's wreath...but I do enjoy seeing what you are doing!

I love your little garland and it reminded me of one I made last year but I don't know what I did with it. Your grandson is so sweet in the heart album.

You are just about ready for Valentines day. Such wonderful creativity. It is fun to see other peoples craftiness. Have you thought about making a "love bird" house...decorating a simple wood birdhouse for a couple of love birds? I bet you would make a wonderful one!
Oh, and a love bug! Getting bitten by the love bug....another idea!

I love the fun you can just feel in this post. I wanted to take some photos today, but it is way too dark. It's been like night-time all day. Your post cheered my day though.

You are so creative, Jann! And no, I am not even thinking of Valentines day yet. I still have my tree up! But I do have an excuse. Been away all Christmas, got home Sunday night, and been sick with the head cold ever since! So I will enjoy the trimmings a little longer this year. ;)
Thanks for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week.

Blessings,
Sandi
