Well my friends, right about now is when I start counting the days (the hours, and the minutes) until Spring.
According to Google, right now it is 27 days 11 hours and 30 minutes until Spring officially arrives.
March 20th can’t come fast enough for me! Like I told one of my blog friends recently “I can’t wait until my body aches from working out in the garden”
Although I never wait for the official start of Spring. Once March arrives I’m all over Spring clean up!
‘Spring Time’ just seemed a perfect theme for my latest mantle décor.
Old clocks are mingling with new.
My friend, Joyce had picked up some of this darling clock fabric at a local quilt shop. When I saw it I loved it and asked her if she minded if I copied and made a mantle scarf like hers.
This mantle is a work in progress. I’m sure it will change slightly in the next little while.
I just finished this clock stitching. Waiting for my friend, Amanda to come home from AZ. Her hubby makes the greatest frames.
See, there’s a bare spot waiting for it.
I love how this scarf drapes over the edge and sides of the mantle.
I remembered that I had this framed print I brought home from the Tulip Festival in Washington. I went there with four friends in ‘2000’. Can’t believe it’s been 14 years! I would love to go again sometime. Have you ever been? It’s really something to see!
This print screams ‘Spring’ to me! I love the tulips in the blue bottles as well as the bulbs in the French pots!
What do you think? Do you like it better with the framed print or without?
I switched my rustic pegboard up a little and added a hanging clock.
The hearth got a touch of Spring ‘Time’.
And look, it’s even starting to look like Spring outdoors!
Maybe I’ll curl up, read a good book, and wait for Spring!
hugs,
Jann

I have bits of green peeking up and my stonectop is really growing before my eyes. I love that clock stitching you did - I am glad you will frame it.
Jann, I adore all your clocks !! I love clocks too. Yours look great bunched together. I am ready for our Spring time. xoxo,Susie

I like the way you've used your clock on your Spring 'time' mantel!
It does look like it won't be too long for you before it actually happens.
I was dreaming of red tulips today and your pic is the perfect pacifier to the real thing. Lucky you...
When I seen your post, it sparked something. I was online the other day and pinned a cute clock. It would fit in wonderful with your decor and home, but the price just chokes me ~ it is darling though...

Lucky you to have tuplips getting ready. I planted a bunch last fall, but they're not peeking through yet.
Have a Wonderful Weekend...

Oh, you Spring people!! I'm still enjoying winter hoping for more snow. I'm already through with these early March winds - it's still February. Hope Colorado doesn't blow away into Utah! I do love your Spring mantle cover, however. Sally
What a beautiful vignette for your fireplace. I love the fabric you used and your fabulous clocks. Just lovely and perfect. Hugs, Beverly
Aren't you smart! Love the clock theme. So glad to see a little spring in your flower bed too.
Love the clock theme on your mantel!! I will start my Spring decorating at the beginning of March too.
hugs,
Cindy
The clocks look great on your mantle. I also like the clock fabric. I am so ready for Spring although we are having the most wonderful weather in the low 80's. However on the news tonight rain next Thursday and Friday YEA YEA
We sure need it.
Have a great weekend.
Mary
I am loving your Spring look. Your mantle looks like you are ready for it to happen right now! Do you know that we don't really have Spring until well towards the end of April-sometimes even into May before we get green and anything growing. We can't plant anything outside until after Memorial Day....crazy, huh?
I love all the clocks!
It looks so pretty. I am anxiously waiting for spring as well!
love the clock theme, jann:) it's so time for a weather change for me! happy weekend!
What a cute and clever TIME idea!
My body is already loving the slightly longer days and I can't wait for the time change!
I've never been to the Tulip festival but I'm FROM that area so I sort of have it in my blood! One of the teen jobs you could get when I was growing up was picking the daffs and tulips. :)
Hi Jann--I think we're all counting the days to Spring! Seems like winter just keeps dragging on. Your clock theme is so charming. I always like any vignette with clocks.
Hugs,
Dru
Jann,
This is one of my favorite vignettes you have done. I love the mantel scarf that is awesome and the clocks are fabulous. Love this one!
Kris
I really like the embroidery piece you did, it will look precious framed. I can't wait for spring either Jann, this has been the coldest winter in 50 years here brrrr.
I have lots of bulbs popping up as well! Spring is coming!!!
That mantel cover is so cute! I'm so ready for spring. We had a taste of it for a few days with temps in the 60's. I also noticed that my spring bulbs are popping up - so there's hope that spring will be here soon!
I am loving the collection of clocks and that terrarium. Such great touches. I hope spring arrives soon, I can't take this cold anymore and we want this house moving. Sorry for the whining.
Cynthia
Ready for spring here as well! I love your clock collection!
March 20 is still winter here . . . sigh. We are well into May before we can plant anything. I love the embroidery you did, so cute with all the clocks!
Jann, I'm embarrassed to say this because I've already asked once or maybe twice...I can't find your home address anywhere in my emails. It's almost time to plant seeds and I want to mail you some hyacinth bean vine seeds. Would you email me?

Wow - nice little bits of spring already?! We've still got piles of snow about 3 feet high from shoveling! I like the mantle with out the print from looking at the photo, but without seeing the entire room it's hard to tell.
Leann
Your mantel looks really good, Jann! Love the print! I say keep it!
I sooooo needed to see that picture of your spring flowers popping up through the ground! I'm hoping there might be a few daffodils here, waiting for the snow to melt. It's only a matter of time ;) --Fran
Wow! You have a great collection of clocks. That vintage blue alarm clock is my favorite! The mantle scarf is so cute.
How beautiful! Love your mantle. Keep the print! very pretty!
I have a bit of a 'thing' for clocks Jann, so love your mantel vignette. The embroidery is gorgeous too.
I'm sending you some of our heatwave to hurry spring along for you.
Love all of the clocks, and I'm with you, spring can't come fast enough!
Very creative, mantel, Jann. I rally like all the clocks, and the print is very pretty. I wonder if adding some pinks to the right side of the mantel wouldn't help tie in the print to the vignette a little more by balancing the colors. Also, maybe something a little taller on the right side. Perhaps a vase with pink flowers? I'm just thinking out loud. It's such a pretty grouping whether you change anything or not. Hugs, Nancy
Love the clock theme ... counting the minutes till spring!
