Officially Fall. . .

Well my friends, it is now officially fall.

Here in Utah it has arrived with rain and definitely fall like temperatures.  Actually at times it's darn right cold.  :)  But according to our ever knowing weatherman, warm weather will return next week.

Last Sunday we got out of church early so hubby, our daughter; Kylee, and I headed up American Fork canyon to see what fall beauty it had to offer.

It certainly did not disappoint!

Although I was totally blinded by the sun and could not see what I was shooting, I could not resist this shot of the gorgeous sunshine!

I snapped this photo of Kylee admiring our gorgeous mountains.

Then she took this one of hubby and I.

We walked across the road and hiked a ways up Pine Hollow trail.  These tokens from nature were scattered everywhere along the way.

I loved this brilliant bush and dubbed it as 'fire on the mountain' on facebook.

I'm sure that the heavy rains have stripped a lot of the trees by now.

So glad that we took the time to enjoy God's gift of fall in our beautiful mountains!

hugs,
Jann

Had to delete first comment due to my mobile thinking it was smarter than me and typing words I did not intend. 😑

Here's what I intended, Jann: we were most impressed with UT while on our trip. You live in a beautiful state. Thank you for sharing. Each time you do, it'll remind me of the good timestuff we had while there. Happy Fall, happy Sunday. 😊

Just gorgeous! That sky is incredibly BLUE!! Still waiting for the color here though we are getting the cold. I am loving it when the high is only 60. Love your outfit....very cute on you!

Wow, that much Fall color so soon. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina and we are at least a month and a half from seeing this much saturated Autumn leaf color. When do you experience your first frost and how soon do you expect snow? Thanks for posting!

What lovely fall colors you have in your neck of the woods. I need to get out to the high country with my camera next weekend.

Incredible color and beauty you were able to see! I loved the bright hues of red and gold, just gorgeous! And how lovely that your daughter was able to go with you and enjoy it too, those are the best kind of times! I enjoyed your sharing of the beautiful fall colors in Utah :)

The change of the seasons is one of life's sweetest pleasures. I'm always intrigued by how they appear in parts of the country, then either drift up or down to the other parts, depending on the season. Here in Southeast Texas, we patiently await the beauty of fall.

It certainly is fall in your neck of the woods. We still have the ac cranking over here and the leaves are green. I am not complaining at all, but your view is much more picturesque. ps...your pants are so cool. Love them!!

Beautiful fall colors thee! Our part of NC doesn't get the brilliant colors like the mountains do, but the hot weather is gone at last, and there's a promise of really cool days!

Nature is magnificent and you captured her robes and scarves and spirit in the gorgeous photos of this post.
What a beautiful day. The leaves here are green and dropping from sheer weariness of a long, beastly hot summer. Wonder if we will get color at all. Grins, thanks for the wonderful hike in real FALL, Sandi

You have a lot more color than we do yet, Jann. It's beautiful. Raining now but the temps are getting cooler so soon we'll see those oranges. Your blue sky takes my breath away (especially today!)
