Hello my friends, hubby and I took off Thursday for a
little get away.
Every couple years we head North to Idaho for a soak in Lava Hot Springs mineral pools.
It does wonders for the soul and these old bones. :)
We always spend at least one night in Pocatello. One of my favorite vintage shops is located there.
I got permission from the shop owner to take you on a little tour.
Welcome to
Vain & Vintage!
I snapped a few pics of their cool window displays.
Would you choose the white or red dress?
Let's step inside. . .
Karen was minding the shop. She was kind and gracious enough to call the shop owner to see if I could take photos and share them on my blog.
I took a lot of photos, so I'm going to let them do most of the talking. (wink)
I have a weakness for anything vintage kitchen.
Fun display of ribbon and look at this amazing stack!!
Not something I collect, but I know that there are those of you who love vintage Madonna's.
They have a lot of smalls that I love. . .
And some that are a bit bizarre. . .
frozen Charlotte's
and doll eyes.
The shop is long and narrow with eye candy in every corner.
Not something I shop for, but if you are in to vintage clothing they have lots!
I already have an old croquet set or this baby would have come home with me. I did buy two things that I will share with you later.
So, if you ever find yourself in Pocatello, Idaho you won't want to pass up visiting this store! It's located in Old Town at 149 North Main Street.
hugs,
Jann

I would love to spend and hour or two going through that store . . . so much amazing stuff. Something for everyone.
What a fabulous place, Jann. It sounds like the perfect stop on a wonderful and well-deserved getaway. I fear I'd need to up my visa limit before heading there!
Jann, I loved that place...so much to see. I always ask before taking photos in a store. I think the owners appreciate it and love when you tell others about it on your blog. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
I saw the little piece that said Montgomery Ward in button picture! My mom worked there when I was young. Looks like such a great place to explore!
Thanks for taking us on a walk through the shop with you. I feel almost as if I was there. : )
Wow Jann what a unique shop. I love the madonna especially the one holding the baby Jesus. So sweet. The Springs sound pretty fabulous to indulge in too. Glad you had a fun trip.
xoxo

What a great store! I would love to visit it. I love their collection of Frozen Charlottes!
Love the smalls...especially the doll eyeballs! I don't think I'll ever have a reason to get to Idaho. Darn!
I think I would get lost in that wonderful store! I would love to read more about those hot springs! I wish there was something like that here
Great post
Blessings, Joanne
That sweet shop has ME stamped all over it! How did you only buy two things?! I could spend lots of time pawing through the smalls. I usually don't buy vintage clothing but I am in the market for a spring dress for my mannequin....I would buy the red dress!!
Very fun place and displays!
What a wonderful pictorial of a what looks like a fabulous vintage paradise. Always fun to see shops across the country and what people buy, where.
..my favorite kind of store...I can't fit in another piece of furniture...my rooms are too full but I can't find one single piece I will part with. When I go to this kind of store full of charm and personality, I always find a piece I can't live without...so I am trying with all my might to STAY OUT OF THEM. :)
I bet you had a wonderful time! So many neat and pretty things to look at. Oh my mercy I would so love that little red dress and a little body to go into it! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
What a fun place to visit although I could have done without the container of DOLL EYES....lol It's a really sweet shop and I am glad you had fun over the weekend- xo Diana
