Treasures and Trinkets Tuesday. . .Easter Smalls in My Tiered Tray

Hello my friends and happy Spring!

Yup, according to the calendar; spring has arrived.

I'm looking forward to spending time in the garden doing clean spring up.  I just love getting down and dirty!!  :)

I know that I have shared my tiered tray with you before.  However, it remains to be one of my favorite pieces to style for holidays.

It's absolutely perfect for corralling all of the little holiday trinkets and treasures that I pick up.

How about you, do you pick up smalls at thrift shops, or simply pass them by?

I simply can't resist!  These two little cuties are one of my most recent finds.  I really do not need more S&P shakers, but I could not take my eyes off of their cute faces.

The same week that I found those I was gifted this set from my sis, Julie and friend, Dolly.  A totally different look, but I love them ever bit as much!  The silly duck stole my heart when we discovered him at the estate sale I helped with last year.  Needless to say, he did not make it into the sale.

Some things have fond memories.  Such is the case with this little metal German egg.  Hubby sent me a couple of these along with some wooden eggs when he was stationed in Germany for
 Desert Storm.

The lamb cookie mold was a thrift find as well.  I really want to try making a shortbread cookie with it. . .YUM!

The large duck came from the same estate sale and the small one was a thrift find.  So happy that mama and baby are reunited!

These tiny yellow striped bowls are the sweetest!  My friend, Kaylyn gave me the metal bunny molds.  I'm going to use them to shape the butter for our Easter dinner.

This cutie has lost her mate.  Oh how I would love to run across it some day!

I just love Crinoline dishes!  I was not familiar with them until a few years ago.  This silly chick is having a bad hair day, wouldn't
you say?

Not the best photo, but another thing that is dear to my heart.  I bought a couple of pieces of aqua Fenton at an estate sale.  It just happened to once belong to one of my favorite Young Woman leaders as a girl.

Vintage cards have the sweetest graphics!  My granddaughter Saydee just adores this little chick in the blue teacup.

Can you spy those darling little girl teabag holders tucked in the back?  And how fabulous is that little wheelbarrow?

My friend, Dolly crocheted the fun bunny coasters.  Love, love them!  The little feathery duck by Raz is something I bought.

A look at the other side.

A perfect place for all of my little treasures and trinkets!

hugs,
I will be sharing with these fun parties:

You have the best tiered tray and the most FUN stuff in it! It's like a cabinet of curiosities!

If you need the recipe that came with that shortbread mold, I'll be glad to send it to you. I have one too (and loads of others from the same company) and they came with recipe books5rrttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt0

Sorry. Lizzie just stepped on the keyboard -- she was following the typing!

Oh Jann, it's all so wonderful in your tiered stand! What a perfect piece for small treasures! And yes, I have a fascination with smalls too and buy quite a few. If I can hang them I usually hang them on a tabletop metal tree stand, otherwise they are just scattered through out the house. Your idea is perfect for them! Happy Spring!

I couldn't help notice the flower that sprouts from the egg shell - I wonder where you can find seeds for those? They must be wonder tray flowers!

Thank you for a glimpse into your tiered tray of wonders Mrs.Olsen, we've got to go home to our blogs now.

We'll visit you later...
