Match Made in Heaven!

Oh what a beautiful morning it is here today!

Recently I showed you my newly purchased bedspread.  But what I haven’t shown you is the set of thrifted dishes that I found shortly there after.  I snagged these babies, service for 4 for $20.

The floral pattern goes so well with the patchwork flower square in my quilt.

Don’t they look right at home there sitting in my cute red tray?  It was a Pottery Barn clearance for $10. There is a slight crack in the bottom, Phew; who cares?

Last Monday I found these fun red utensils at a thrift store.  $3.50 for the lot. Oh, and the little red basket was $.50.

Right about now you’re thinking; “Why in the heck does it matter if her dishes match her bedspread?”

Well dearie, I may just have to start having breakfast in bed.

Excuse, me I think I hear the kettle whistling!

IMG_0377

In the famous words of Lady Grantham, from Downton Abbey.  “Where on earth is Miss O’Brien with my breakfast?”

Oh, I forgot to mention that the silverware is tiny.  Perfect for the grandies.

Oh my, think they’re gonna want breakfast in bed too?

Whether you’re having breakfast in bed, cooking your own, or settling for a bowl of cold cereal.  Good mornin to ya!

hugs,

Jann

Beautiful! Can't believe you got such a good deal on the dishes, and I love that they match your bedspread. Great deal on the tray, too, and we always love us some red, right?! Mary

Jan:
Just Google Cece Caldwell's website to see the blues, etc colors are great! I think you will like it but the wax is also dull. I don't think it is supposed to shine but Cece also has a Satin Finish product you can use on top if you like more shine. There is no smell.

Hello, Jann!
How I love all your cheery reds. As much as I enjoy all the soft Eastery colors...I seem to
always gravitate to my favorite...RED!
What delightful bargains you have found...That makes it even sweeter!
Have a Happy Happy Easter, my darling friend.
Blessings across the miles,
Carolynn xoxo

You've found some wonderful items, Jann. I love the pretty dishes and I agree, who cares if there is a crack in the tray, just gives it character. I think the quilt you are using to cover the table is gorgeous! The pictures you have take are great and so colorful to look at and enjoy. Happy Easter to you and yours!
