For the past couple of years turquoise has been my new favorite color.
I especially like it with pops of red.
I’ve found that I have been bringing home a lot more vintage items that are varying shades of turquoise.
Do you want to see some of my kitchen items? I think this was my first turquoise treasure.
A baby scale with a wicker turquoise basket. No I did not paint this baby. I found it this way.
It has the cutest picture on each side of the base.
Since then I have found Pyrex bowls and stackers. . .
A bit of bubble glass. . .
A wonderful serving platter. . .
Glass bottom bowls. They have a clear glass bottom.
A darling hobnail Fenton sugar and creamer.
A pretty scalloped bowl. And a medium bowl given to me by a friend. She saw it at a yard sale and knew I would love it. Aren’t friends great?
They make me smile every time I open the cupboard.
Another friend gave me this fancy candy dish.
She also gave me this Fiesta pitcher she found at D.I. for $1.50.
It’s not old, but still love it!
This is my latest purchase. I bought these two cute plates on the way home from AZ. They are Harkerware. I have a green bowl that is the same maker. I had never heard of it before. The little edge is so sweet and dainty.
Well, there you have my vintage turquoise. What do you think? For me, they tip the scale!
Hugs,
Jann

Enjoyed seeing your collection. I have a dish like the one in the first pic, top, right side, and an oblong white with turquoise design that were part of a gift back in the 60's - sure dates me. :-D

I just LOVE all your turquoise! I love the color myself, although it tends to show up in my wardrobe and jewlery and less in my home decor. I do have one darling little transistor radio from the fifties on my shelf that is turquoise, however... i am sure you would love it. :) thanks for sharing all your treasures. Blessings!

You are absolutely correct--they tip the scale!! :) I love turquoise and/or teal...soft shades, darker shades, robin's egg shade, ocean shade. Love your collection, ESPECIALLY the baby scale. OMG, I remember those! They were a must-have, I think, for moms back in the '40s and '50s. Very sweet. Glad I stopped by! ~Zuni
Hi, Jann,
What pretty turquoise. I love the mixing bowl the best, and that pitcher, too.
I won't ever have my dream home either. This will probably be my last house (unless I win the lottery)
I have things I'd like to change about my house, too, but it's such an improvement from my other "nightmare" houses. (I could write a book)

It's funny how a color will just swoop you up! I've never seen a scale that color. Darling!
