My Alpine Home

We have lived in our new home in Alpine, Utah for four years now. My current goal is to make a larger more open home (which works great with our extended family) have a bit of cottage charm and seem more cozy. I hope you will follow along and give me encouragement as well as advice as I embark upon this challenge.

The Christmas Bug. . .

I stepped outside my front door yesterday and caught the Christmas bug. . .

It really wasn’t too difficult because it was parked right in front of my house. My daughter, Karrah and her family are the proud owners of this sweet thing.

All loaded up and ready for the holidays.

With a Christmas tree and vintage sled just waiting to be ridden.

But did you notice the other cute little Christmas bug?

IMG_9394

Miss Saydee June, named after my sweet mother.

And look at those feet. . .yup, she’s wearing grandma’s thrift find  Lake Placid ice skates.  She could hardly wait to see if they fit.

They went from here. . .

to here.

This little one charmed them right off the sled.  And oh boy, she did not want to take them off and go home.  Grandma had to promise she could wear them next time she came.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and hoping that the only bug you catch might be one like this!
