Unto Us a Child is Born. . .

Merry Christmas Morn !  I had to share our little shining star, baby Will posing as baby Jesus for our manger scene.

Christmas 013

Isn’t that the true reason for celebrating Christmas?  Our faith and family!

The grandies acted out the Nativity while grandpa read from the book of Luke.

Christmas 017

Joseph was a bit camera shy.

Christmas 016

Isn’t Mary cute looking at Joseph?

Christmas 023

And the angel said unto them, “Fear not:  For behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy.”

Christmas 019

And there were in the same county shepherds abiding in the field.

Christmas 021

Keeping watch over their flock by night.  (our towel & minky covered sheep were the best we could do on short notice.)

Christmas 018

Christmas 020

Baby Jesus, (Will) was so happy in his manger that we let him reside there even after the reenactment was over.

Christmas 012

Blessed are the little Children!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas day!  I have loved sharing with you this year.  It is has been so fun getting to know so many of you!  I feel so fortunate to consider you my friends!

Hugs,

Jann

What a wonderful family tradition--I hope it is a tradition--especially with g'Pa reading the story! My hubby read the story at the Christmas Eve service from our old family Bible. Great tradition for all of the greatest story ever told! Thanks for sharing your pictures!!!!!

Jann so fun to see this. Grandkids do the best job when telling the story of Christmas. Thanks for sharing. Will is adorable and growing so fast. Merry Christmas!

What an adorable tradition! I love it! I saw on another blog where they have had "Bethlehem Dinner" every Christmas Eve for 30 years! They eat what they would've eaten in Bethlehem when Jesus was born, plus everyone dresses in BC-era costumes. "Pollyanna" (Reinvents) said she tried to discontinue it because the kids were all grown but they said no.

What memories you've all made with the focus placed on the true meaning of Christmas!

Merry and bright,
Kelley~
