You'll Find Me in the Garden. . .

Hello my friends,
If you happen to knock on my door and I don't answer,
chances are you'll find me in the garden.

(Elsa Spath Clematis)

It truly is my favorite place to be this time of year!

(Anna Louise Clematis)

With all of the rain we've had lately I find myself bouncing outside in between showers.

I anxiously look forward to my morning stroll.
It fills me with delight to discover new blooms daily!

(Jupiters Beard)

(mountain bluet, perennial bachelor button)

(basket of gold)

(sweet rocket)

(silver dollar)

(I have four colors of oriental poppies. The orange and white are blooming)

(this morning I walked out to find my first red poppy)

(Mrs. Bradshaw)

(I knew the name of this flower last year and this year I can not remember it for the life of me.  Anyone know?  The leaves look a lot like those of the Columbine)

(Columbine)

(Siberian Iris)

(Iris)

(variegated Iris)

Bushes and trees. . .

(snowball)

(dwarf Korean lilac)

(golden chain tree)

(tri color beech tree)

So many photos!

I decided that I would save my herb garden, shade garden, and rock plants for another post.

And finally, a few wide views of the garden.

(oil can collection)

I truly love this time of year!  Each day brings a new delight.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

I hope you enjoyed the stroll through my garden.

hugs,
Jann

I love your garden. You have some gorgeous plants in bloom right now. Your irises are stunning. Your mystery plant is a meadow rue. I saw it at the iris garden a few weeks back and took its photo along with its marked botanical name. The leaves do look like columbine and it is gorgeous! Have a great holiday weekend!

Your garden is like a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary...It brings such a calm to my heart.I can see why we'd find you in the garden! And what lovely photos! Your rock borders are gorgeous. Oh Jann, your garden is stunning and all your flowers blooming. I am afraid that mine are not looking to good due to our drought and I am sure that I will be loosing a lot of them.
I can see why you love your garden and want to be outside. So glad that you got a lot of rain to make them grow.

Oh, lucky girl~!
Your gardens are gorgeous. I keep getting frosted up here and mine are struggling to get going.
Oh, I love the yellow watering can hanging on the shepherds hook. Wire a few chandelier crystals in it, hanging at different lengths... It will look like gorgeous water dripping out when the sun hits it just right *wink*...
Have a Great Weekend~!

I don't believe I've ever seen a Siberian Iris. It's stunning! Your entire yard reminds me of Walt Disney World with so many beautiful varieties of flowers.

Oh Jann!!! How exciting - your gardens are total and pure eye candy for me - just outstanding! The poppies are so gorgeous in those colors, as you mentioned you have in your comment on my post. I think I need more - love the white especially. I planted the mountain bluet last year and they're just starting to bloom for me, and I'm waiting on my clematis. I worked all day in the garden today - first with my daughter, helping her redo her front landscape, then came home to start staking and tying my bee balm, roses, and hibiscus. An absolutely busy time, but oh, so lovely to marvel in it when the work is done. Enjoy your time out there and Happy Memorial day weekend!

PS...I love those boulders too! Can't even imagine the work it took getting those placed. And that tri-color beech is beautiful. Just so many wonderful specimens.

Jann, I am so jealous of your garden. It is gorgeous! We have been having rain for two weeks now but mine does not look like yours. Most of my flowers are still small and haven't bloomed yet. I am going to have to go and get some annuals to put in pots so I can have some color instead of green. Have a great weekend!

Sigh! I think my BP just went down by several degrees (what is the unit of measure for bp anyway?) Thank you for the lovely tour. And now I feel inspired to go clean out my flower beds. Blessings to you.

I loved all your pictures of your pretty flowers because I don't have any of those in my gardens except the red poppy! I just finished mulching this morning and everything is popping now. I love this time of year too!

Oh my goodness, Jann - your gardens are INCREDIBLE! So healthy and lovely - wow. I am a novice gardener who hates heat and tires easily so my garden needs help for sure.

Boy are you ever an inspiration to me.

Have a wonderful safe and happy Memorial Day weekend. Big hugs.

Your garden is simply amazing Jann and it shows me how far I have to go in my own backyard. Mine will never be as colorful as yours though because of all the shade. Like you though, it is my favorite place to be this time of the year. My poor house is crying out for a little attention about now.
Blessings,
Patti
