Left Out in the Rain. . .

There were a couple of days last week that it rained most of the day.
After I grabbed my camera and headed out to take some photos I realized that,
some things are meant to be left out in the rain!

(large metal pot)

Have you ever noticed how pretty everything is after a lovely rain?

Everything that I had just planted was loving it!

It rained so hard that we grew mushrooms.  : )

Do you remember that song about leaving the cake out in the rain?

MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no, oh no, no, no, oh no

I never understood why anyone would leave a cake out in the rain.  For Pete's sake!  lol!

But as you can see, there are some things that are just meant to be left out in the rain.

I myself even enjoy being out in the rain now and then.  And we all know how kids love to splash in puddles!

How about you, do you like being left out in the rain?

hugs,
Jann

Your flower gardens are beautiful!! I used to love playing in the rain when I was little, but not so much now. We had storms today with tornado watches and I really didn't like being outside then...but I was because I got a flat tire and hubby had to come rescue me.

Nice garden! Yeah, I never got that whole "cake out in the rain" business from that song, either. I'm still surprised that song did so well on the pop charts!

It rained here in Colorado all last week too. But of course my garden doesn't look as good as yours. My is just starting to come up and of course on Mother's Day it snowed. I only have a couple of flowers blooming right now. I love all the colors in your garden and all the interesting items that you have used as pots. Great job!

No telling how long it will take to get that song out of my head! We've had so much rain here in Texas, we found a big turtle on our lawn yesterday. We live on a hill and don't know how he got here...must've floated up here.

I call rain nature's moisturizer. I love how it jewels plants and cleans the air.

Beautiful "pots" of flowers! Love all your different containers. I love how everything looks so GREEN after the rain. We are just starting to be able to plant outdoors without fear of frost. I wouldn't want to be in South Dakota now!

Everything looks grand. We are having an odd year.So much going on ! I am still having a devil of a time leaving comments and loading pages and the H is pulled in so many directions right now I feel guilty asking him to put on his IT admin hat and fix it! I am visiting though - even if you don't see a lot of comments from me.

Every container makes a cute planter, and I'm featuring this at the Vintage Inspiration Party this week. Whatever day it is, I'm new - Wednesday maybe? Tuesday night? Whatever, you're featured.
