There were a couple of days last week that it rained most of the day.
After I grabbed my camera and headed out to take some photos I realized that,
Have you ever noticed how pretty everything is after a lovely rain?
Everything that I had just planted was loving it!
It rained so hard that we grew mushrooms. : )
Do you remember that song about leaving the cake out in the rain?
MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no, oh no, no, no, oh no
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no, oh no, no, no, oh no
I never understood why anyone would leave a cake out in the rain. For Pete's sake! lol!
But as you can see, there are some things that are just meant to be left out in the rain.
I myself even enjoy being out in the rain now and then. And we all know how kids love to splash in puddles!
How about you, do you like being left out in the rain?
hugs,
Jann

Jann, your garden is filled with so many really interesting treasures, but I must say, wet or dry, that spreader planter is awesome!!

Jann,
Love everything that you have showcased here especially the sprinkler suspended from the shepherd's hook. How cute!
Hugs,
Deb
oh I do love all your garden junk!!! GORGEOUS!!!!
Your flower gardens are beautiful!! I used to love playing in the rain when I was little, but not so much now. We had storms today with tornado watches and I really didn't like being outside then...but I was because I got a flat tire and hubby had to come rescue me.

Nice garden! Yeah, I never got that whole "cake out in the rain" business from that song, either. I'm still surprised that song did so well on the pop charts!
This is all so lovely and charming...love the watering can hung over the flowers!
There is nothing better than splish sploshing in the puddles. 'Tis so much fun. I love the fragrance in the air after rain. My your garden is filled with lovely colour and whimsical planters, Jann. Love your beautiful Clematis!

So bright and brilliant. I really like the containers your use.
The colors after a rain are a good time to take photos.
Everything is looking fresh in your garden and so pretty. I love being out in the rain. Took our little grand doggy for a walk in the rain today. love it.
Oh dear I'm so old that I remember Donna summer singing this over the cartridge player on the school bus ..
It rained here in Colorado all last week too. But of course my garden doesn't look as good as yours. My is just starting to come up and of course on Mother's Day it snowed. I only have a couple of flowers blooming right now. I love all the colors in your garden and all the interesting items that you have used as pots. Great job!
I love all your flowers and the fun garden art that you use. You have some great ideas for re-purposing old things Jann. It's raining here too and we needed it. Everything is greening up fast now. Have a great week! Hugs. Pamela

No telling how long it will take to get that song out of my head! We've had so much rain here in Texas, we found a big turtle on our lawn yesterday. We live on a hill and don't know how he got here...must've floated up here.
I call rain nature's moisturizer. I love how it jewels plants and cleans the air.
I love the fragrance of the rain. And I surely loved your rainy day photos! Blessings.
Oh Jann your blooms are beautiful! From all of our rain everything looks so amazing. Hugs, Jo
Beautiful "pots" of flowers! Love all your different containers. I love how everything looks so GREEN after the rain. We are just starting to be able to plant outdoors without fear of frost. I wouldn't want to be in South Dakota now!
What fabulous gardens you have Jann! Love all your special touches and fun planters. It's all so lovely.
You do have some lovely pieces to leave out in the rain, Jann! We don't get much rain here in AZ, but when we do, I sure do love it! Many blessings to you! Cindy
Your garden is spectacular.
We have 70% chance of rain on Thursday so think good thoughts for me and my garden.
I love that metal pot! I actually would like your whole garden. We need rain in my neck of the woods.
Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Everything looks grand. We are having an odd year.So much going on ! I am still having a devil of a time leaving comments and loading pages and the H is pulled in so many directions right now I feel guilty asking him to put on his IT admin hat and fix it! I am visiting though - even if you don't see a lot of comments from me.
Every container makes a cute planter, and I'm featuring this at the Vintage Inspiration Party this week. Whatever day it is, I'm new - Wednesday maybe? Tuesday night? Whatever, you're featured.
