Treasures and Trinkets Tuesday #3

Hello my friends and welcome to my new series where I share some of my new found treasures.

Also, I'm going to see how Sept. goes with my radiation, but still may open it up as a link party.

Last Thursday my sister, Julie and friend, Dolly came up for what we call, "a fun day".  a day of gallivanting and pampering.

First we went to a damaged goods store and then we hopped over to a thrift shop near by.  We finished off the day with a pedicure.

I stopped in my tracks when I spied this picnic basket in the yard area of the thrift shop for $4.  Both Julie and Dolly exclaimed that they had just walked by there and didn't see it.  :)

What can I say?  I've got the junkers eye.  lol!  Really, there are times when I walk right by things as well.  Just happened to be my lucky day!

I have another picnic basket out in my shed, but I loved the color of this one.  I didn't take time to style it, just plopped it on the porch with a couple of wooden watermelon wedges.

I had to run to the town of Payson last Sat. to pick up a quilt block.  Hubby rode with me.  I warned that if I was down that way I was going to stop at a nearby thrift.  I spied this pitcher for $2.  I knew it wasn't real old, but I loved the aqua stripes!

It has this marking on the bottom.  I googled and although I couldn't find one just like this, similar ones were priced at $19.99.

Today I had to go to Provo for Genetic testing.  Yup, another thrift is right across the street.  I had to stop!  Really it's because I am looking for vintage Halloween trinkets to put on a wreath I'll be making in craft group.  Oh, and I did find two things I can use when I found the pitcher.

Didn't find much at the thrift today, but these five little parfait type glasses were only $.75 cents for all.  I knew my little grands would think they were so cute!  I put the quarter by them so you could see how small they are.

They say, Ed Debevie's on them.  I googled and found out that they are a sundae style shot glass.  lol!  Don't tell my grands.
What kind of grandma am I, encouraging them to start drinking out of shot glasses at an early age?  (wink)

I picked up 5 flower placemats for $1 each thinking they would be fun for a fall tablescape.

The last find today is a green enamel Field and stream pot with lid.
Not old either, but I just love enamelware and thought it would be cute planted.  Who knows, it may end up being one of my kids Christmas 'thrift gifts'.  Yup, I started a fun tradition three years ago of giving each family member a thrift gift.  I have a great time searching for the perfect item for each individual!

Well, that's all for this week.

Have you found any fun treasures or trinkets lately?

Also, I wanted to mention that I will be gone all day tomorrow, so Share Your Cup will go live Thursday at 7 a.m. MST.

hugs,
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

I will be praying for you. Yesterday at a furniture thrift store I saw a Field and Stream enamel pot just like that with matching enamel mugs. Really cute but I decided I didn't need them. What fine goodies you found!

You found some treasures! That picnic basket is a beauty. For some reason this year I've been drawn to striped items so that pitcher grabs my attention!

What fun finds! I do love thrifting as I do errands and Dr visits etc! Love the little 'shot' glasses. I find little glasses for my Grands to use and they feel so grown up using a tiny wine glass with their Sprite in it! Hope all goes well. Hugs!

Great finds Jann. My mom had those flower placemats back in the 70's, when our house was all yellow, orange, and olive green. They are perfect for Fall.
Praying for you as you go through a bunch of hoops to beat those terrible cancer cells to a pulp!
Blessings,
Patti

That picnic basket is fabulous! I found a red plaid one similar to that. I usually go around 3 times because I miss so much the first time! You do have the junker's eye and it worked for you this time!
