Dreaming of Fall

Now that  September is here, I have been dreaming of Fall.

I decided to give the boudoir a new look.  I made this quilt three or four years ago.  It is one of my Fall favorites.

Really, it’s too small for the bed.  Doesn’t look the greatest because I didn’t have wonderful pillows to add to the décor.

Still, thought I would share it with you.

Even though, when it comes to Fall  I really have a LOVEHATE relationship.

I LOVE Fall because it means cooler weather.

I HATE Fall because it means that Summer is coming to an end.

I LOVE the beautiful changing colors of the leaves.

I HATE that soon my garden will be covered in a blanket of Snow.

I LOVE that shortly I will no longer need to mow the lawn.

I HATE that shortly I will no longer get to mow the lawn.

See, really a LOVE HATE thing going on there.

Fall is the favorite season for most people living in Utah.

Me, It runs a close second, but Spring will always hold that spot in my heart.

It’s all about the renewal of life that makes me love Spring.

Till then, I’ll enjoy Fall and be happy.

I thought I’d leave you with a bit of  Fall beauty.

Love the applique throw pillow. I envy your quilting skills. I would not tackle quilting because I don't have the patience. Your quilt is beautiful. Utah is a perfect place to experience fall. Glad you love it!

Lovely quilt and I love all the photos in the collage. I have a love/hate relationship with fall too! I can't stand being cold, so I dread winter coming.

I'm already in a fall mood, too. I haven't done any decorating, yet. Maybe I will this week. It's going to be cooler-in the 80's, I believe.
That might inspire me, plus looking at your pleasant post, helps, too.

Hello! I live in a country where there are two seasons. One of my dreams is to personally experience the fall and winter season. Whenever I see pictures of houses, places and outfits for fall I really can't help but dream!

Have a great day ahead!

I am a fan of fall and found myself putting an autumn wreath on the door today, even if it is still "technically" summer. Your quilt looks so cozy!

You and I both have a love/hate thing with fall and for similar reasons. I hope you'll stop by my mosaic post as mine is on a similar theme. Hope you have a great day, this last day of the long weekend. :)

Jann,

You inspire me to get some decorating done for Fall. Love the Spring, Summer, and Fall, Winter I could do without, except for maybe just a little at Christmas time. I know I am being really picky. I do love having 4 seasons so I shouldn't complain. I like your quilt on your bed, nice change for just a few weeks or so.

Your fall quilt on the bed is lovely - perfect with the cushions at the head of the bed. I love fall, and sometimes miss the real change of colour that we had in the east - but I sure don't mind fog and drizzle instead of snow and ice in the winter!

Oh, I so agree. I love fall, but I dread the winter. Beautiful pictures. The quilt is gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing. Karie
