Good For You!

This time of year many of us are busy planting a vegetable garden

If you’re like me you have high anticipation of the harvest we will soon reap.

I love fruits and vegetables and like mama said, “they are good for you!”

I thought I would share some of my bounty that is ready to be harvested.

Look at these beautiful cabbages.

A couple of small ones are growing close by.

The carrots are a beautiful color of orange.  I’ve gathered a few of them in my vintage colander.

Add a little lettuce and some radishes voila’ we’ll have a colorful salad.

Now how about something a little sweeter?

IMG_6548

The strawberries are ripe and ready for pickin.

just wondering, do you thing the T S stands for too sweet?

IMG_6553

I have tons of cherries, but these were the only ones ripe enough to pick.

I bought this cute plate at a thrift store for $1.50.  I had to buy it because it just happens to be a motto I live by.

After your stroll, take time to pick a few fruits and vegetables.

Why?  Because they’re good for you!

Jann

What a radishing post! Lettuce just say I enjoyed it immensely. I don't think anyone else could beet it, do you? Peas feel free to write up more of this type of post anytime. Oh sure, some people may say as-SPARE-agUS, but I won't be one of them. No if I don't go off my gourd tonight I will be back around to aggravate you tomorrow, too! xo Diana

Hi Jann, what a darling post!... I just love all of your cute fruit and veggies collectibles... being the romantic that I am, I think the T~S on your strawberry glasses are the initials of a handsome gentleman and a beautiful lady who fell in love and strolled through an enchanted garden long long ago picking strawberries and enjoying Springtime's bliss... they added the little hearts to show the love they have for each other... and they lived happily~ever~after... xoxo Julie Marie
