A Stroll thru the Garden. . .

Won’t you join me this morning for a stroll thru the Garden?

Each day brings me new joy with each delightful new bloom.

This Iris that I purchased at a home of a woman who had a sign out on the street advertising that she was selling Day Lilies surprised me with it’s first bloom.  I love the peach and lavender combination.  It is kissed with water drops from this mornings sprinklers.

The Hellebores have been blooming for quite some time.  I have three different colors in my shade garden.  This plant is one that I had never planted before until I moved to this home.  It is so unique.

The bloom of the variegated Iris isn’t as large, but I love the foilage.

I love the purple of the Lilac next to the sweet blooms of my Bleeding Heart.

Yard art adds interest among perennials.  Jupiters Beard is happy to reside by my cute teapot birdfeeder.

IMG_6520

The blooms of Mtn. Bluet (perennial Bachelors Button) reminds me of a spider.

The flowing whites of the Bridal Wreath bush are one of my favorites.

Mr. Robin greeted me as I walked outside to snap the first picture.  He flew off and didn’t join me for the tour.

Sure hope you decided to stay.  To all you mothers and future mothers out there, these buds are for you!  Have a wonderful Mothers Day!

Beautiful flowers, Jann! I also have dwarf lilac, planted in 2008, bloomed profusely (I mean completely covered, see avatar photo) in 2009, and each year less and less and this year NOTHING, I am so disappointed. Any ideas? They are in full sun. xo

I was reading this last night and dozed off to sleep - not because I was bored - but because I was exhausted from the day's activities! So, I decided to visit you fresh this morning! I loved the walk through your garden. And I am always crazy about the hellebores! I bought some last year and the "helpful" salesman in the garden section of Lowe's told me they were a boring plant because they didn't have any color. Since I was not interested in his unsolicited advice, I put 2 of them in my cart and walked on. Unfortunately, they didn't do well where I planted them, so I have to get more this year if I can find them!
