Yes folks, I am in love with Poppies. I know that once you hear the word Poppies visions of Dorothy, Scarecrow and Tin man skipping through a field of bright orange comes to mind.
And while I do love the orange Poppies. . . Oh, there is so much more!
All of these beauties growing in my garden have given me so much delight!
The orange poppies are starts that I brought from my Highland home. They were given to me by a dear man who use to cut wood for me.
This is the second year for my white ones. The blooms are so large and beautiful!
I am not sure where the Salmon poppy came from. Just showed up in my garden last year. What a nice surprise. The bees think so too.
My red one was new this year and I am loving it!
I also had a little fun with pic monkey using different effects. You might say I was just monkeying around.
What do you think? Kind of fun, right.
Guess what? I may have a new pale pink poppy next year. Hubby and I visited a public garden in S.L.C. There was a beautiful pink poppy. I just happened to notice that two of the flowers were spent. I plucked the seed pods and brought them home with me. Hopefully, that is not stealing. If so, I am sorry and please forgive me.
My passion for poppies made me do it!
How about you, do you love Poppies?
Now I would like to show you the darling Garden give away I won at Tracie’s from Fishtail Cottage
everything a gardening gal like me loves. . .
A garden note pad and darling jewel magnets. Love the green color!
cute felt flowers and a darling peat pot filled with six different flower seeds.
Can’t wait to plant them.
And of course a gardening journal.
Thanks Tracie I love it all! And if that wasn’t enough, she also featured my A Stroll thru the Garden post that same week.
Hugs,
Jann

I have been so blessed lately to win a couple of giveaways. Our blogging friends generosity is amazing.
Love your poppies..they seem to elude me, I think I need to try them again!
Your poppies are gorgeous! Our neighbor has wonderful bright orange poppies that I admire each year.
I simply MUST have poppies now! I have always loved them, but yours are so beautiful - have never seen white before! Just gorgeous!
What a great combination, orange poppies and purple irises! Congrats on the nice win too!
I love poppies too. We have them in our backyard. Orange...no salmon. Love them!
Kris
Your poppies are beautiful! I don't believe I've ever seen white ones before. They look so pretty, they almost don't look real!
Congratulations on winning!
Your poppies are so pretty - thanks for sharing them with us.
Enjoy your evening.

I love poppies too. My grandmother grew them in her front flowerbed when I was a child, and they bring back wonderful memories. Yours are absolutely beautiful. You have such a green thumb!
I love poppies, but I have never had any luck getting them to grow in my garden. Yours are absolutely beautiful! The salmon ones are my favorite! :) Fran
Oh, I used to dislike my (oriental) poppies so much ~ I would tear them out of the flowerbed every year. To no avail, however! They are persistant to say the least. Well, I've conceded and am leaving them be. They are quite shocking with the blue and purple bedfellows, but I kinda like it, now! I had a salmon colored one that I really liked, but it, of course, did not come back!
Congratulations on winning Tracie's giveaway! What fun garden stuff!
Blessings!
p.s. *Love* your shopping cart full of flowers! ;~P
Congratulations on your win! Yes, poppies are so pretty! Hugs and blesings, Cindy
I love my poppies too. I have a white one that doesn't bloom . Sigh. I keep trying to get the true red one but can't find any. They always turn out to be that orangy red and not the blue red I long for.
Yours look awesome.
What beautiful poppies! They almost look too perfect to be real! I've never tried growing poppies but am certainly considering it now!
Love your poppies! I don't have any but I always adore them! Cute give away you won! I just discovered BeFunky.com for playing with pictures. I'll have to check out picmonkey.
Oh I just love your poppies!... I dug up some starts of Oriental Poppies two years ago from an abandoned old field of them, and now my side yard is full of them... love it!... you have so many different colors... I cannot pick a favorite!... xoxo Julie Marie PS Don't you just love saving the little "salt shakers" as we called them when we were little girls... and scatter the seeds around?
oh my, you have such a lovely garden! congratulations on your wonderful win!
Yes, I love poppies. And I like to pick seed heads when I see them, too!
Blessings,
Susie
I love orange poppies. I'm not sure if I've even seen any other colors, except for the red paper poppies the vets sell.
I do love poppies!
I have the white one, it's called 'Royal Wedding'. Mine are very short this year. Are yours?
I also have a gorgeous salmon one called 'Queen Alexander'. I posted about that one yesterday. I bought mine from Brecks a few years ago.
I also love the orange ones. Right now my garden has a positively prolific parade of poppies!

I love poppies too. I used to have them on my little farm...orange ones.
No, that wasn't stealing. You were just pulling a "Johnny Appleseed".
Poppies are like no other flower! I wish I had some in my garden - yours are wonderful! We have gathered seeds from gardens as we come a long them - a wonderful way to add flowers!
