Breakfast of Champions & A Sneak Peek. . .

This morning I could hardly wait to jump out of bed and start decking the halls.  I put on comfy clothes and delved right in.

Well, I did take time to eat breakfast.  If you know me you know that I love tradition.  At my house it’s tradition to have pie for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving.  Maybe not for my hubby, but it is for me. lol!

A sliver of pecan and coconut cream.  Now that’s a breakfast for champions! Really, did I get enough cream on that pecan slice?  Sure was tasty, but I must admit; I’m not quite up to it like I use to be (in my younger days)  I could only eat half.  Oh don’t you worry, it didn’t go to waste (probably did go to waist).  Perfect mid morning snack!

I started in the living room and then bounced into the entry.  I am mixing things up this year so I could hardly sleep last night.  Visions, not necessarily of sugar plums; but still visions danced in my head.

Here’s a little sneak peek. . .

I will be sharing this entire room for our Creating Christmas blog hop.

Santa button 2

Evergreen sprigs snipped from my small pine trees were placed in bottles upon an old pharmacy box.  Mercury glass helps to give it a vintage feel.

My Santa and sleigh I found earlier this year at Star Mill.  I love it!  I placed a bottle brush tree in my large Mason jar.

The metal reindeer were another Star Mill find a couple years ago.

I hope you will join us for our party.  Till then, you’ll find me decking the halls, and the family room, and the kitchen.  Hee-hee!  You get the picture!

Hugs,

Jann

Oh- I love what you have done so far...but what I love even more is the tradition of pie for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving. Now why didn't I think of that when I was eating sugar?;>) xo Diana

I did a bit of decorating today - nothing major. I need to get with the program - hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner.
I also had one of "those breakfasts" - I had lemon cake. :-D
Enjoy your weekend.

As a taster, they're terrific - look forward to the rest! As for breakfast tastes - in our home, Boxing Day breakfasts used to be stuffing sandwiches. One way of using up the surplus stuffing, and deliciously filling - until the Boxing Day meal has been prepared to once again be attacked!

I'm a recently follower of yours via one of the blog hops I've recently discovered how to join. Would appreciate your views on mine at www.ColdhamCuddliescalling.blogspot.com (in between your decking!) as am thinking of using it as a base for kids books in future. Your ideas would be most helpful.

Thanks in advance, and best wishes for the holidays.

Oh, you can be sure, Jann, that I will be visiting as you participate in this fun Christmas event.

I am just amazed at all the original ideas that come from your pretty head...and, I can see you lying awake dreaming up more.

You're my kind of girl with that wholesome, nutritious breakfast!

Have a fun week and enjoy arranging and rearranging all your Christmas pretties.

Blessings,
Carolynn xoxo
