This morning it was a beautiful day. I spent a few hours in the garden cutting back perennials. But this afternoon the clouds came out and it has been raining off and on ever since.
Thought that I might need to spread a little sunshine your way!
(Rudbeckias are the perfect pinch of sunshine!)
What better way than by sharing my recently found old red fertilizer spreader.
It was instant love the minute I spied it at our local thrift a couple of weeks ago. Even though the wheels weren’t metal, it was red. Come on, like I was going to leave it behind!
Like a cyclone we need to spread sunshine wherever we go!!
Another great way to spread sunshine is by dropping a little card in the post. Might be just what someone needs to brighten their day.
(found this treasure on the way home from Napa) Half price at a thrift shop.
I thought you might want to see her profile. . .she’s some looker!
Just a little something cheery out on the porch for summer,
Have you spread some sunshine today?
hugs,
Jann

What a wonderful welcoming vignette you've created! I love it!
Love love love!! Everything about it is perfect.
Love your "sunshine".
My daughter just flew to SLC for a week long conference. I hope it doesn't rain every day because she is hoping for running time each evening.
Thank you for spreading some sunshine!
Jann, you spread sunshine wherever you go, sweet lady!
Thanks for letting me know about Nancy. Sure miss her /sniff.
Hugs.
What a creative use of an old fertilizer spreader! And your flowers are gorgeous.
Of course I love both of your finds, they are red after all!
The feeder is a unique find, for sure, Jann.
Absolutely darling! That spreader is just too cute with your flowers. Thanks for the bit of sunshine, Jann :)

What can I say, I adore you red post box!!
What a cute spreader! And I had that mailbox on my first home purchased in 1981 - it came from Lilian Vernon catalog, remember that one, pre-internet shopping days??

Hello Jann! What a lovely display. I have same perrenials and just cut a few blooms off and have them sitting on my counter in a mason jar. Too sweet! Thanks for visiting my blog. I LOVE Jadeite and just got an interest in transferware. I can never find the Jadeite anywhere though.
Have a great week!

Cute, cute! LOVE the seed spreader and the mailbox is really a find. Love it, too. :)
That is the perfect shade of red, Jann. Great finds to brighten your porch. xxx ~ Nancy
Hi Jann, perfect cuteness and new use of pieces that add the right kind of rightness to our front porch garden designs...
I left a comment on your post before this in regards to your quilt... So here is my comment there and now repeated here :)
I am enjoying my visit, and love your quilt of colours, red, yellow and the mix of whites and woods. It such a farm house feel yet crosses over with a bit of French flavor with all your country tones. I have recently added a touch of yellow, very faded yellow so as to blend with my tone of muted whites and grey's and the whites.
I love the grain sack muslin feel to your accents and this also tugs in the direction of a cozy wonderful farmhouse feel.
I am the one who created the Number 4 for. Jeanette using vintage solid mahogany and 40 year old zinc plates nailed with zinc nails. I read that you wanted to make a 7, I also have a 7 in my etsy shop as well as a number 2. They were used in Fifi O'Neills new book Prairie Style Weddings, the numbers stage a wedding as French address numbers and used as table markers.
I thought I would let you know that my ready to hang numbers are in my etsy with just a couple left, besides my N0. 7 on my wall
Thank you for your share
Will see you soon, now I am going back to visit some of your older postings.

So much fun Jann, and so cheerful!
Such a cheerful vignette. That top picture would make a darling card front. We can always count on you, Jann, to brighten our day no matter the weather. Angels to you!

What a great message and adorable creations to go along with it. Thank you for always spreading sunshine.
If I had been nearby I would have run you down for the spreader. It looks so welcoming with its bouquet of flowers.

Awwwww, what a sweet vignette. Great idea!
Jann, what a bright, happy idea! I just love the black-eyed Susans in the shiny, red spreader. I've been sharing bouquets of black-eyed Susans with friends and neighbors for the past two weeks. Sending handmade cards to friends makes me so happy, too! Thank you for such a lovely post today! ♡Dawn
Absolutely LOVE that mailbox. Thanks for sharing @ TTF!
We have two old grass seed spreaders that we turned into planters. Aren't they the best? I would love to find a round one like yours. It's perfect for your pretty front porch!
