Love Me Do!

Love, love me do, you know I love you.

I'll always be true,
so pleeeeease love me do.

Remember those bebop songs from the 60's with very simple lyrics that just kept repeating themselves?
Well, I still love them!

So when I spied this print out of the Beatles hit, 'Love me Do'.  I knew immediately that it would be the theme for my living room Valentines mantle.

My sweet turquoise typewriter was perfect to hold this 'love song'.
(especially with it's touches of red)

I tucked in one of my favorite Valentines that has a love thermometer.  It reads:
My fever now is running high and surely by degrees I'll die.  If you don't give me some small sign that you will be my Valentine.

It tells you to hold the thermometer in your hand and the liquid in tube will show state of feelings.  It's so fun to see how quickly it bubbles!

Whoa, love me do. Someone to love, somebody new.
Someone to love, someone like you!

(our engagement and wedding photos make me smile)

Love, love me do.
You know I love you!

(a vintage rose book and a couple of love birds under a chicken wire cloche I made last summer)

Love puts a spring in your step!

(I added a few trinkets to an old velvet heart candy box)

I made the heart garland a couple years ago and the doily one last year.  This year I draped them together.

(I made the heart ornament wreath last year)

Love, love me do!

Valentines Day is a wonderful holiday.

A time to let the special people in your life know just how much they mean to you.

Something we should be doing each and every day!

hugs,
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:
