The party where you share the things that make you happy.
It's what I call, "filling your cup".
I am definitely feeling happy today! You might recall that last week I mentioned that life had thrown me a bit of a curve ball.
Honestly, I wasn't sure if I would even share this with my readers. I like my blog to be happy and don't want to dwell on the negative. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that so many of you are dear friends to me!
Yes, I've met only a few of you in real life, but I feel that I have built a bond of love and dear friendship!
Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yes, the terrible 'C' word. They found it during my yearly mammogram. My family physician said this was a testimonial to mammograms. It's so small that it would never have been found with simply a breast exam.
So ladies, get your mammograms!!
I am so thankful for the Dr. that did the ultra sound. He just about sent me on my way, but he said there was one area that was mildly suspicious.
I saw the Oncologist yesterday and this is what I found out.
I learned that Cancer has a grade and a stage. I was told I was a stage 2, but it really was a grade 2. Stage can only be determined after the lump is removed. She said she would guess I am a stage 1. I will not need chemo or a mastectomy unless they find it in my lymph nodes. I will have radiation every day for 6 weeks. She wants me to have a MRI to make sure there is nothing in the left breast and to see the lump better. She also is having me do a gene test because it is in my family. I will only have breast removed if that comes back positive.
I am fighting back and saying No to cancer in my lymph nodes!
Now let's take a look at what I shared last week.
On Sunday hubby, our youngest daughter, and I experienced
I also shared my recent finds in
Now for the features from SYC #258:
Joanna from Gingham Gardens shared her love for junk garden vignettes.
Carol from Art and Sand shared her fabulous new plate rack shelves that gave her an extra foot of space.
Jo from Annes Attic shared her summer décor. Love it, but the deer that she sketched as she watched it in her yard was so sweet!
Wonder if it really had flowers on it's antlers? (wink)
I'm smiling because both Carol and Jo helped host SYC at one time. No wonder I love their style! :)
Carol from Comfort Spring shared the recipe for a yummy avocado and strawberry salad with honey balsamic vinaigrette.
Thanks so much for sharing and please grab my button if you were featured.
