Seeing is Believing!

Hi my friends, on Friday I took 7 of my 9 grandies to the movie, “Rise of the Guardians.”  I must confess that I got teary eyed in the last scene.  If you haven’t seen it, it’s the one where the Guardians and the children join together to fight the ‘Boogie Man’.

My grandies ranged from age 3 to 17.  I had to pick a movie that would be o.k. for all ages.  I think it entertained them.  Although my 17 year old grandson, Kade said that it ruined his image of Santa.

I said, “what the Naughty and Nice tattoos that he had on each arm?”  He said, “yeah; that and his weird accent.” lol!

When I think of that jolly old elf I think of a man dressed all in red, with a round belly and little round glasses. Kind of like this:

And boy am I ever so thankful that he is wearing those eyeglasses.  Can you imagine the disasters that might happen if he wasn’t?  I mean, a man of his age.

I believe that it could be catastrophic!

What if he gave Nellie’s story book to Suzy and Suzie’s doll to Johnny.  All because he couldn’t read the names on the stockings.

Believe me, not being able to see is no joke,  What if Santa ate reindeer droppings thinking that they were chocolate balls?  Ha-ha, I got that one from Duck Dynasty.  Uncle Si and the boys went to gather berries.  Si picked some up off of the ground and ate them.  Only to discover he had eaten raccoon poop. Hey, it could happen.  Needless to say a trip to the eye doctor followed and new glasses were ordered.  Little did he know that he could have just went to GlassesUSA.com

Believing in something that you can’t see just takes a little faith.  Not being able to see is a total different situation.

I remember when I first started wearing prescription eyeglasses in the 7th grade.  A whole new world opened up to me.  I didn’t realize how much I had been missing out on.

One of my blog friends showed a picture of a blurry Christmas tree on her blog.  She said that was how she saw it as a child.

When my grandies ask me if  Santa Claus is real I say, “I believe!”  The background of this picture is what the world looks like to someone who needs to  buy glasses.

Santa Claus is the spirit of Christmas giving.  Being able to see him helps the children to believe.

Because of my beliefs and faith I don’t need to see my heavenly father and  his son to know that they are there.

I feel them in my heart every day!

May the spirit of Christmas be with you.

A good post- If you can't see it leaves your world just slightly askew. I didn't know I needed glasses until I was in 4th grade to see the blackboard. Up close I am fine- but I need scrips to drive. xo Diana
