Hello my friends, I can’t wait to show you my new pad!
No, I haven’t moved. Although this may seem like a new place to you because I haven’t really shown this space since we finished our basement a year and a half ago.
Why? Two reasons: I was waiting to find a rug and I was hoping to get curtains made. Well I found the perfect rug! I actually saw it while visiting Kim, from Savvy Southern Style blog.
I knew it was just what I wanted!
I still haven’t gotten around to making curtains. Hopefully after the New Year.
But today I am literally talking about a new rug pad.
A while ago I was contacted by Will McDonald, Cofounder of Rug Pad USA.
He sent me this fabulous 9x12 rug pad.
Let me tell you, I am in love!
Whenever I have used rug pads they are just those mesh type pads that really do nothing as far as padding, just keep you from slipping on the rugs.
This pad is higher end and so soft ! It made all the difference in the room. The area is soft and cushy now.
My feet are in rug pad love!!
(they are happy even if they are in bad need of a pedicure)
The fact that these pads are eco friendly is the icing on the cake. All of my little grands running around in this area will be thanking me for that!
If you are in need of a rug pad I would definitely suggest that you check out their site!
I've tried to give this area a farmhouse feel to coincide with our farmhouse style kitchen.
I can see us spending lots of time in here this Winter.
The fireplace helps to make the room cozy,
(yup, there's those curtainless windows.)
(yup, there's those curtainless windows.)
we have plenty of blankets and extra pillows for snuggling.
Before I added the pad it was like stepping onto a hard concrete surface. Now it’s like walking on soft grass.
I have been adding touches of Christmas. You can see that I am still working on the red table.
We had this red leather couch and love seat in our upstairs great room. When we finished the basement we brought it down here.
The wool pillows add a bit of whimsy and the two checked pillows were a thrift find for $2 each. I had to buy them, because. . .
they were the exact same fabric as my parson chairs.
Of course I had to have a few vintage treasures, like my radio collection.
And this old drying rack. I don’t open it, but love the architectural interest it adds.
This room really has nice lighting. It’s because it has what they call daylight basement windows.
I want to thank Rug Pad USA! Getting this new pad was like receiving an early Christmas gift!
Happy Holidays,
Jann
